I'm thinking of maybe going Horde!
Yesterday some servers went down and well I decided to go on another server "Ghostlands" and also decided to go Horde just cause I never had a horde character so might as well try it out. This gave me an oppurtunity to try out a new class: "Rogue". I wanted to also see other side since rogues love to come after hunters. I decided to start a Blood Elf Rogue. As I begin to start leveling I'm noticing I'm having a little more fun. The blood elf has this cool looking spin jump and for some reason when I was hitting the targets it looked really cool. The Blood Elf had cool racial abilities. I liked the mana tap and the arcane torrent. These would be pretty good for BG's later on anyways...
Racial abilities
Mana Tap:
Activate to reduce target's mana by (50 + Level) and charge you with arcane energy for 10 min. This effect stacks up to 3 times. 30 yd range - Instant - 30 sec cooldown.
Arcane Torrent
Activate to silence all enemies within 8 yards for 2 seconds. In addition, you gain 10 energy or (5 + Level) mana for each charge of Mana Tap currently affecting you.
Arcane Affinity
10 point skill bonus to Enchanting (note, this also raises the cap by 10 at each level of enchanting).
Magic Resistance
Increase all Resistances by 5.
Blood elf priests receive two racial abilities - Consume Magic and Touch of Weakness:
Consume Magic dispels one beneficial Magic effect from the caster and gives them 120 to 154 mana. (660 to 694 mana at level 70) - instant cast, two minutes cooldown.
Touch of Weakness is a buff that the priest can cast upon him or herself. It lasts for ten minutes and has only one charge, and once cast, will cause shadow damage to the melee damage inflicter, and affects that target with a debuff that reduces their damage done by a constant amount. The amount of damage done and damage reduced increases with levels.
So after experiencing these abilities I was really shocked but enjoying myself. I managed to get myself to to level 10 in about 15 minutes. At level 10 Rogues get DW and I was just even more thrilled and happy about how much DPS I was laying out and how much faster I was killing.
I was enjoying grinding, combos, and the fact that it just look cool was just making me want to re roll here. I thought to myself well I'll probably never go back on this server again just cuase I don't really have a level 70 there to help with money needs in case I need it so the fun was going to be over soon. (boo!!!) Low and behold, I figured I'd just start an Alliance Rogue on my server and do it again and this time with the help of my main characters chance to get gold.
So the servers are back up and I get back on to my server. I created a new Alliance Human Rogue and thought to myself it's back to having fun again. After the first couple of quests I start to notice it doesn't feel right and I'm not having as much fun as I was with the Horde character. The human race didn't have any cool look spins, funny jokes or evil laughs. Ok ok! It had a spin but it looked really gay and dumb looking. The human race didn't have much racial abilites appealing to my eyes other then Perceptions but really how often does this get used as a rogue.
Racial Traits
Perception
Activate to increase stealth detection radius. Lasts 20 seconds, 3 minute cooldown.
The Human Spirit
Increase spirit by 10%.
Diplomacy
10% bonus to faction point gain.
Sword and Mace Specialization
Increase Expertise by 5 when using a Sword or Mace.
This effectively reduces the chance that your opponent (of equal level/skill) will dodge or parry your melee attacks by 1.25%.
As I continue on with my rogue hoping and praying that it will just be a lot funner I find myself leveling a lot slower. You'd think I know this area by now to know where to go for each quest so I figured it'd be a piece of cake. Nahhh for some reason it just wasn't the same. I was just not happy with him anymore.
Now I'm kind of thinking going back on that server and continue on with my horde rogue. This is a such a hard decision to make. I remember being poor and broke when I was a noob and I really don't want to have that feeling again. I don't know if I should leave my Hunter by himself on my orginal server calling me out once a blue moon asking me to continue on with his end game experience. Gosh I haven't even ran Kara yet and to think that I'd have to start over again for that same reason at the end just mind boggles me. Moving to another server means I'd have to find friends again, find a new guild and experience a new side of the world world. Basically, I will be a NUB again all over. UGGHH!!

I didn't read all of that. Way too long for me to care but if you need a friend come to Illidan server. I'll get you started off right. It's a PvP server, and it's full, so make a character late at night or something. Just like on the forum my name is Chatillon. I'm on a good 13+ hours a day, giving me just enough time for sleep and school, so you shouldn't have trouble contacting me. I'm actually in class right now.
I'll be hone in..5 hours.
The guild i'm in started kara not too long ago as well, so you'll have that, as well as horde friends.
If your intrested I'm there.

I play both sides on a PvE server. After all, why should I pay full price for only half the game? Anyone who limits themselves are not only wasting half the monthly fee but are doing themselves a disservice by not experiencing everything the game has to offer.
