Having the 20% Exp Really is worth it but Tanking is out of the question ret is passable but your best bet with those heirlooms in party's while leveling would be to go holy which is good since you can lvl holy now to lvl 30 no problem even if you where questing by your self . At lvl 30 now you can get duel specs and make your ret spec then for those heirlooms so u can still quest your self but still do Party stuff without getting any complaints thrown at you in the game ..

They Lowered the price very cheap i forget exactly how much but its extremely cheap now for duel spec and you can now get duel specs at lvl 30

I've seen low level paladins tank with those and I cringe at the thought. >.<

Look at it this way:

How many of us, if we were going to level almost exclusively level through solo play, give up two gear slots for an across the board 20% experience boost? I know I would. If I don't have to give up a slot, and instead I just have to give up some strength and armor (while keeping a fair amount of stamina and crit), what's not to love?

Just to clarify a minor confusion (unless they just fixed this with the patch today) the game doesn't inform you that Dual Spec is available until level 40, but you can indeed train it at 30.

Not true ^ .My new goblin mage who is now lvl 61, when i hit lvl 30 about 2 weeks or 3 weeks ago it poped up on my screen telling me that this ability is now trainable from a trainer

I saw a Death Knight using the Clothie caster Heirloom set and just "/lol" at him. His DPS was so bad...

Well, half the DK's i come across have terrible dps even with useful gear...

OT though: If i were you i'd use them, until higher levels anyway, 20% extra exp is going to be very useful.

It doesnt matter if you are questing. No matter what it is easy

If you are doing dungeons as a dps, make sure your weapon is up to date, or you may get kicked for bad dps

Do not try to tank in them. But in reality, below lvl 58 there is no such thing as a tank anyway. I´ve tried tanking them, and they are so easy and dps is so high that you can´t really hold aggro and nobody cares about focus fire etc. lvl 58 dungeons and below are like wotlk heroics, only easier.

My best bet is do the quests then before you turn them in swap out to those to get the 20% boost on those quest turn ins. the kill xp isn't great at lower levels.

I've actually been in a few groups where the tanking pally has the robe, and he was actually really good.
