We cant give you a number because it is affected by one important things: humans.

How long will it take to complete a raid rooster ?
How long will it take complete Kara ? ZA ? Grull ? SSC ?
How many times will you farm it ?
How many are you going to wipe ?
How many times will you raid per week ?

All those questions will be answered by your guild motivations and experiences.

Assuming your experienced people are tanks and healers, and assuming your raiders gear themselves starting at blues (doing heroics in the spare time, getting blue gems, item enchants, etc), and assuming people read/know the strats, it could take about 1-3 months. Remember that to advance, your tanks need better gear (e.g.: you can't down prince even if you are the best tank, if you have too many blues)

* spending time running heroics between kara will reduce the weeks you spend trying to get it on farm

* for quickest time to farm status, take the same 10 ppl each week. PUGing 2-3 ppl can kill your raid on the later bosses in kara

a couple months is reasonable. only a couple pieces of gear drop from each boss... so even if you learn the fights well, you are under the constraints of when you can find upgrades. badges of justice (in kara AND HEROICS) will help give your group the gear boost needed to do the later bosses effectively.

half your group is raid-experienced. that helps. be calm & share knowledge with the newbie raiders (remember, you're sharing information ... not telling them what to do. attitude can make or break a raid group)

....ahhh... i still remember the first time i was told to "stack up" on someone. (i had no idea what they were talking about. lol)
