(As feral)
If you're in kitty, Pounce (wait for Blink) and then Charge, continue for a bit until you get that 5-pt rip or maim* and then switch to Bear Form and continue your assault. Bash at some point, wait for the blink, feral charge again.
One of the important things to remember is to use LoS to your advantage. They can only hit what they can see, and if you can keep yourself out of LoS for long enough, you'll drop combat and have a chance to re-stealth. Remember, you can heal yourself, they can only potion/bandage/evocate.
In the open, you'll want to use Cyclone when possible to heal yourself. Feral Druid vs. Mage comes down to Blink. It is their best defense with a 20 second cooldown, you need to be counting, or you need to be able to force their blink and put them in a bad position to do much. Shifting is expensive, but so is repairing your ego, so simply keep the pressure on them. Now, they have cold damage, but you should have Infected Wounds, meaning that if you've done your job properly, they'll be effectively hobbled making them as slow as you are. They difference is, you can shift and keep beating the %^&* out of them.
Last suggestion is to use Barkskin as much as possible. 20% reduction to all types of damage, including their 3 minute "blow-your-load" macro.
* - I prefer to do a 5-pt Rip and then a 1-pt Maim, stuns tend to unnerve players, and bleed damage is nasty.
