wtb name-change to sex and homosexuality
and on the old topic , if the gene was recessive the difference between male gays and lesbian women would have been much larger if not massive.Women 2 chances to not have it , men just one.and the examples were based on men as it related more to the starter topic
Actually, women are more probable to have the recessive gene, as they have 2 X chromosomes. They can inherent from both parents, unlike men (at least in this proposed hypothesis), which accounts for more bisexual tendencies in women, as well as a more (how can I phrase this right....) open-mindedness towards homosexuality. Women are more likely to be tolerant of gays than men.
But what really gets me is that all of the fuss being raised is about the male character who sleeps with both the male or female main character.....no one is freaking out over the female who does the same.....double standards much...

The taboo of homosexual sex in popular media is probably a similar obstacle
heterosexual
sex had back in the day when it couldn't be portrayed in film or television (outside of out-and-out pornography, of course). That eventually triumphed, and now sex is everywhere in the media; perhaps it's only a matter of time until this whole thing dies down, and every work with homosexuality as a major theme isn't the subject of massive controversy.

What I want to know is why does every single TV show that comes out nowadays have to have girls kissing at some point? Half the time it doesn't even fit; they just do it because they can.

Because some men see lesbianism as "sexy" for some reason.
Sexy and daytime TV aren't supposed to go together -_-

What will make you more attracted to men/women? a gradual effect from many gene's?what? you have to give a reason. and what do those genes do when divided? simply make one more prone to make the "choice". I also don't know why people think that it being chosen is bad. And it has to have a choice factor, no gene on psychology is an be all do all. It increases the chance , like the cancer genes, the obesity genes and many others.Genes make one more likely, someone without the genes for being a good mathematician can still be a good mathematician, not that the existence of a math gene has been proved , just put one that has been , like the language learning one due to increased fat sheaths on the neurons.You don't have a choice in what you're attracted to. You could choose not to act on it, but likes & dislikes can't be chosen.
Also, remember that sexuality isn't as simple as straight or gay.
