Tank him near a pillar, as soon as he starts casting insanity, everyone LoS him behind the pillar, wait for him to stop doing the swirly thing above his head, hey presto, don't have to fight anyone.
Worked for me.
I'm going to try that next time I'm there.
I had a similar problem, but I couldn't even get the dps down. We had a pally healer and he kept FoLing everybody so my attacks were doing nothing. I tried burning down the healer instead but ran into the problem of no interrupts. In the end, our rogue and mage died (couldn't take all the mobs), our priest healed himself through it, I just tanked my 4, till our elemental shammy killed his 4 with no problems and then came and killed ours. After that, the boss was a cakewalk, being the insanity only had 2 mobs, it turned into easy mode.

I think you could have com up with a way a bit more fashionably easy to take on the mobs if you had been trying. After all you are the one that rerolled the fashionably OPed pally tank.

I did it as holy, and it's hard to take everyone down. I had to use a lot of mana healing myself, I'm not sure how the dps that can't heal would manage this. We downed him in the end when it was me, the boomkin, and the tank left. Having 5 people on insanity is just too much for non healing classes IMO.
They hotfixed a few boss fights other than that one as well. The snake fight in Gundrak to name one. You can't use the water to avoid the snakes anymore. Basically, have an aoe tank, and blow everything to nuke the boss really fast. I prefer this fight in the doorway to make picking up the adds easy for the tank. After that, the poison nova is the only major issue. With a pally tank and 2 DK dps, it was a pretty easy fight with constant aoe up(after everyone stopped standing in the damn poison nova....).

Kill everything off...
Wait for backup.
Sadly this is the only method I found that works.
Last time I did it, we had a holy paladin and shadow priest (but it forced it to heal instead). I could kill the DPS, but those 2 just kept healing each other. I just had to last it out until help arrived.
same here, worked flawless
it wasn't a problem to keep myself at 100% till help arrived, killed the healer taunted the boss -> tank and spank
..
repeat till boss is dead

I think this may have been a bug. I had used this strategy with success up until the Tuesday maintenance period. Since then I have run the instance twice and the LOS strategy doesn't seem to work anymore. Has anyone else noticed this since Tuesday?
Yes, this boss fight is probably the only fight in the game where I hate having a resto druid in the group! I was able to get a druid down with hammer of justice and repentance, but without stuns it is very difficult to do solo.
As a Protadin, I usually wait it out until my DPS mates can come or just wait until Insanity ends, which feels like eternity.
I've also used the LoS method which worked up until the last maintenance. As far as I know, LoSing no longer works.
