We should have a URL filter in place very soon which would drastically reduce the spam posts, as well as possibilities for a future post reporting feature. In the mean time our moderation staff works as much as possible to catch any offending posts. There are many available options for reporting such posts, including:
Posting in
Site Feedback
(like this!)
Notifying an available moderator in our
IRC channel
(someone is always available)
Report an offending post/user to feedback@wowhead.com
(if the first two didn't work)
I've set up
instant messaging accounts
by which I can be reached for any moderation reports, supporting AIM, Google Talk and Windows Live (MSN). Please don't use these for any personal chat, if you guys want to talk there's always moderation staff available for chit-chat in
#wowhead on IRC
. :)
Of course we can trust you guys not to be deceived by such ridiculous stunts and "services" these sites claim to offer, but naturally you want to remember never to give anyone your account information / password. Duh. :)
