Also, people would be forced into it as well. I know as a kid I was forced into religion.
You can't ask me to explain the actions of religion and people. I can speak about the teachings of Christ. Beyond that, I don't know.

Only the people that would WANT to follow the law would follow it, which seems to be the whole point of Christianity. I made this point earlier. Love means more when it is given freely.Then why do we need a Hell at all? Couldn't God just let the people who didn't want to follow him be free, and let the people who want to be with him be with him? Why does he need to punish anyone?
Why is it 'God' punishing people when we suffer consequences for our actions?
If you were drowning in the ocean during a storm, and God comes up in a boat and offers to take you aboard, and you choose to swim off, is it God drowning you?

I don't see it as god punishing people per se. I see it as, you show up at the gates of heaven and you're not good enough, so Hell is the only place else you can go. Besides, how does it work when someone else has already come up in a boat, and he refuses to give them a reason to get out of their boat and into his?

Like I said, it isn't like God is pushing you down the garbage chute. It is more like you are jumping down the garbage chute, while he is begging you not to, while you are insisting about how unjust he is, and how the dump you are going to end up in is HIS fault.... hmmmm.
