Why would you sell your team? If you have even moderate gear you can probably stay fairly close to 1400 or 1500, and it's a lot of money saved overall. Get 2 or 4 other people and actually try to win matches. Even if you don't do that well, you'll still get enough points.

The only arena change upcoming is that if your personal rating is too much higher then the team rating you won't get any points. That has nothing to do with restarting the team every week, as your personal rating is refreshed each time.
