The Murkrow, who had been contently settled upon Alice's shoulder suddenly started into alertness. It poked its beak towards what appeared to be the shiny picture of a steel type pokemon. "Choose," it rasped, seemingly enraptured in the way the sign caught the light and sparkled like a chest of jewels. "Choose."

Twin siblings from the Kanto region. Both siblings have dark brown hair, Conrad has green eyes and Corina has blue. Both siblings are tall and thin, and usually clothed in t-shirts, jeans and hiking boots. Both of them are 16 years old.
"Will you hurry up?" Corina called, looking back at her brother. She grinned at him, then looked down at the Growlithe walking along beside her. "Isn't he slow?" She asked, and the dog pokemon gave a low bark.
"Oh hush, both of you." Conrad said, and looked down at his pokemon; a slim little Vulpix, who yawned as she looked up at him. "That's what I think. So where is this ranch again?" He asked, looking at his pokegear.
"I'm guessing that way." Corina said, pointing up at a sign.
"Shut up." Conrad growled, as both pokemon made sounds like laughter.

"I know! I know!" Zach suddenly exclaimed and picked up a pokeball and pressed the middle button causing it to open and release the pokemon inside.
"Drill!" The drilbur exclaimed as it appeared before Zach. "Hi there I'm Zach." He said kneeling down as the mole pokemon looked up at him. "It's nice to meet you."

"Stuka," Cynis began in a playful warning tone to the Murkrow, "don't even think about it. Despite appearances, that is not an onion on its head."
The Murkrow rolled his head back to look at the thin youth, one eye half opened as though asking if Cynis really thought he would.

"The Psychic/Fighting type Meditite." Celia said looking down at the small pokemon. "A good choice."
"So you want to come with me?" Zach asked the drilbur. The pokemon looked at him for a second while it thought before nodding. "Drilbur!" It exclaimed happily as Zach picked it up and walked towards the others.

The pair reached the gates of the ranch, and Conrad looked up. "Nice place." He said, looking at the gates then out at the fields.
"Come on slowpoke; let's get the dex for this region already." Corina said with a grin, and headed into the ranch, her brother and the pokemon following along behind.

Nuvema Town, Pokémon Ranch
A light buzzing echoed through the barn, a large yellow and black form moving through the rafters above before slowly settling onto one. Red eyes examined the sight below it.
And, as if on queue, the shadow of the girl who had no proper business at the ranch appeared in the doorway. Violet grinned, long black hair falling down; striped with blue and purple highlights. A long green dress covered her; falling down past her knees, stopping just above the large brown boots that protected her feet.
"Hi, hi, hi!" The grass trainer waved. "Didn't start the party without Violet, did you?" She asked, a bright look upon her face as she invited herself inside. The Beedrill dropped from above; landing onto the ground beside its trainer.

Cynis seemed to contort in agony at the impossibly sugary sweet voice radiating from the entrance to the barn. So slowly his neck may as well be creaking, he turned his head about to stare at the newcomer.
"Murkrow," the dark pokemon helpfully supplied.

Celia looked up at the new arrival slightly startled by her entrance but quickly regained her senses as she reliesd who it was. "Hello Violet." Celia said walking over to the trainer. "And hello to you too." She added greeting the beedrill.
"A name huh?" Zach said over hearing Alice and looked at drilbur. "How about rocky?" He asked and the drilbur nodded in approval.

Nuvema Town, Pokémon Ranch
The dark-haired girl nodded, making a wide arc around the group of trainers as she crossed the barn, finding a suitable spot of barrels and hay to eventually sit down on. Buzzing in response, Beedrill ascended to the rafters anew.
"Violet decided to stop by, see the rookies." She nodded, tilting her head slightly to view the children.
