question, what is the proffesion level requirement to become illustrious in proffesions? as in what level do you need to be in your proffesions to get to use cataclysm level proffesion training?
Level req is 75 and skill req is 425. (at least for crafting professions)

I have 3 days 16 hours /played on my 85 priest, but 10½ hour of that is "this level" and there's a lot of AFK time/exploration/archeology involved.
Questing in the new zones will easily get you to 85. I only ran a couple of instances and I had a lot of spare quests at 85. (you only have to do one of the first ones as well, either Vashj'ir or Hyjal)

Ok, I have a question. It's been said that the WotLK heirlooms won't carry over in to Cataclysm, but when I looked at the
Repurposed Lava Dredger
on the Wowhead site, the scroll bar that changes the item's stats according to it's level could go all the way up to 85 (not 80 like it says). I looked at
Bloodied Arcanite Reaper
as well, and it also seemed to have different stats at 85. I thought it was just the weapons, but I looked at
Stained Shadowcraft Tunic
, and it also changed, so it's not just the weapons.
I looked at many other heirlooms, and they also had stats for 81-85. So here's my question: Are the WotLK heirlooms like this on the beta? It would be a little wierd if they made the stats for 85, and just chose not to use them... I bloody hope they chose to keep the old heirlooms. =D
Probably a bug in the system.

You're probably right. =/ I'll see what the beta testers have to say about it.
My BoA shoulders still say 1-80.

Yup, they still don't scale past 80. I'm glad about it to be honest... The new zones are designed so once you're done with one, you're ready to move on to the next one. Would ruin the experience if you outleveled them too quick. (oh and the new quest rewards look great)

Again, it's a Wowhead bug, might want to make a page about it in the Feedback section.

Can Worgen wield maces? I'm trying to buy up all the heirlooms I will need for Cata today (since the patch is most likely coming tomorrow), but I'm not sure about what types of melee weapons a Worgen Hunter can wield.
Thanks!

What weapons you're able to use depends on your class, not your race. Hunters can't use maces unfortunately. (1h/2h swords, 1h/2h axes, daggers, fist weapons, staves and polearms only)
I'd buy one 1h sword and one dagger, or maybe two daggers or two 1h swords. Depends on if you're planning to level a rogue, warrior or something afterwards.

Thanks so much for the quick reply! Much appreciated =)
I'm not planning on leveling a rogue, warrior, etc afterwards... just a hunter, so I think I'll go ahead with the 1H swords and the bow. Want to get everything I can before the cost of heirlooms goes up substantially... Thanks again!

A quick question:
Does the vehicle interface see a lot of use in the new zones (or even the new quests 1-60)?

There is extensive use of vehicles in the new Goblin & Worgen starting zones (especially Goblin).

Good to know. It won't save me money because I will get the expansion anyway. It may save some time not to bother with the new races though. (Yes, I hate the vehicle interface that much).

Forgive me, as I've never used the default UI vehicle interface, but how different is it from the normal interface? On my UI it just changes the action bars and then there's a button off to the side to eject, that's it.

It's not the interface itself, I guess. It's more that I'm not really playing my character. Levels 1-10 should be about learning the mechanics of the class, I would think. In addition, whatever machine, critter or whatever you are riding tends to completely block my view and I can't see what I'm supposed to be doing.
Since I don't use the standard keybinds (my keybinds are mouse bound), I usually have to click on the abilities, couple that with the fact that I'm not sure what abilities to use and I end up totally frustrated to the point where now I just decline any quest that uses the vehicle interface.
I actually tried the Argent Tournament, but decided that it's just not for me.
edit: sorry for the qq
