Beta tester reporting in. Posting as of build 12604.
New profession content
Didn't see if it was mentioned earlier in the thread, but as to the "unanswered questions," the 450+ professions content is still NYI.
Vengeance duration
As for Vengeance (assuming the Retribution talent), it's been renamed Conviction and lasts 30 seconds.
Forsaken successes
They've done well. I'm not necessarily sure they achieved all of their goals in Gilneas or the Plaguelands--there were some definite setbacks--but they have made great strides. Keep in mind that Eastern Kingdoms is still being worked on and to say their friendly relations with the Horde are strained would be putting it mildly, so there's plenty of room for change.
Notable phasing quests
First off, don't expect lots of phasing in the old world revamp. A big reason they developed phasing was to put more content into a smaller area. There, they have used it more for storytelling than for functionality, so it's sparse. The old world is full of massive zones, so it really isn't necessary in the same way. That being said, there's a set of quest chains involving Naga in the second zone of Vashj'ir that makes extensive use of phasing and is excellently done.

The Venture Co. up to anything new this expansion?
Yep, they are back.
I heard a rumor that Goblins cannot leave their island before they have completed all the quests and cannot come back afterwards either (similar to DK starting zone, also means other races can't go there). Is this true? What about the Worgen starting zones? Is there a mailbox in the early starter zones and an AH in the city?
At present, what you've heard about access is true. As you will discover, there's pretty good reasons why you can't return. There are mailboxes around, so you can start early on with heirlooms, but there's no auction house access until you reach Orgrimmar or Darnassus for each respective race.
- With spellpower and attackpower going away, are the stats of old items and heirlooms changed? For ex. the cloth chest has no more spellpower but more INT ? What about the enchants? spellpower changed to intellect etc.?
Yes, some of the heirlooms have changed. For example, my Tattered Dreadmist Robe is now stamina, intellect, crit, XP bonus. Old items with such stats have also been reitemized. You won't see attack power on most of the old Outland or Northrend gear any more. I can only speculate on enchants since they haven't made the same kind of itemization pass on the professions yet. There's still some craftable leather and mail with attack power on it, for example. I'd expect to see changes on the gear, but I have no idea about enchants.
- Are the level ranges of spells at wowhead accurate? I have a hard time believing for example that mages only get arcane intellect at 52 and arcane explosion at 58 ! I guess they are subject to change?
A lot of skills got moved around. In general, it seems that classes get their group/raid buffs much later. However, Mages also get Ice Lance at 30 now along with some other more useful leveling spells earlier.
- About the guild reputation, does this count per character or per account? If it is per character, altoholics will take really long time building rep.
If there's definitive information on this, it's from blue posts and not the client. The guild system is still very much not yet implemented.

Thanks for the answers, got some more though.
Are all of the quest reward gear going to have new cata-models or are there still some classic/TBC models?
After Gilneas, do the worgen go to Darkshore or do they go to Westfall (storywise)?
Are there new lvl85 elite mobs a la Fel Reaver in Hyjal/Vashj'ir?
Are there any quests that involve Hearthglen and/or other Argent Crusade/-Dawn towns/cities?
I heard that the tree model have been improved, is this true?
Is it possible to wear a top hat with a monocle?
What is the average health of a player with full cata greens/blues?

I dont have a Druid and oddly, have yet to see one in tree form, if this is what you are talking about.
Actually, I meant plant-trees, not druids.
Anyway, here's the last batch since I'm running out of good questions:
Is it possible to go to Silithus, Winterspring or Alterac and if so what are the current changes there?
Do the Deep Murlocs make the "Rawlrawlrawlrawl" sound?
Are trolls, goblins, undead and belves really banned from the center of Orgrimmar?
How much money can you make with just questing in the new zones?
And for last but not least, do some zones still share music (like Barrens and Desolace in live)?

In Vashj'ir, do you move at normal speed or swim speed? Also, what's it like spending so much time moving freely in a 3d plane? Is it disorienting when you get back to dry land or is it like flying?
Hunter questions: How awsomely liberating does it feel to no longer need to watch your ammo count? Have you tamed any of the new pets yet?
Shaman questions: Is Ghostwolf usable indoors? Do you ever pop Healing Rain and only use lightning spells in order to make your own thunderstorm, just for fun? What's the process that goblins go through to get their totems? Are they really siphoning the elements or do the totems just look that way because they're goblins and like machinery?
We all know Thrall's off helping the Earthen Ring, but what about Nobundo? Please tell me that one of the strongest shamans in the universe is not just sitting in the Exodar still, doing nothing to help. It would make me a sad panda :(
Speaking of the Earthen Ring, are they a rep faction now, or are they still very underrepresented?
Have any of you tried coordinating ripping someone in half with Death-Grip and Leap of Faith?(Yes I am fully aware that you wouldn't actually rip them in half, but it's funnier that way)
Edit: Thought of another one. Will guild perks be earned retroactively, or will all guilds start at square one? I don't know if this is actually testable since I don't know how guilds work in Beta.

1) After completing the first (or second, maybe) quest in Vashj'ir, you'll get a buff called Sea Legs that allows you to breathe underwater permanently and walk on the seafloor. You'll probably spend most of your time moving around like this until you get your Abyssal Seahorse from a quest later on. Sea Legs also gives +60% running and swimming speed while in Vashj'ir.
2) My last premade character copy doesn't seem to work so haven't tried a high level hunter, but I have a ~12 Worgen one and I have to say the Mastiff pets are really cool. I love the focus system and it's awesome not to have to worry about ammo. Sort of gives the same vibe as other classes not having to worry about weapon skill and spell ranks. :-)
4) Haven't seen Nobundu yet but considering the ammount of Broken Earthen Ring members they've added in I doubt they've forgotten about him. Haven't seen him yet though.
5) Yup, they're a rep faction and so is Therazane. (the Earthmother who resides in Deepholm) There's also a Hyjal-related druid faction that I've forgotten the name of.
6) Leap of Faith is the 85 skill for priests I think, and the cap at the moment is 83. Playing tug-o-war with a player would be hilarious though.
7) A new guild will start at level one and as you raid, do dungeons and PvP with the guild the guild as one entity earns exp to gain levels in order to unlock achievements, and each individual player earns reputation while participating which is needed for him/her to gain the perks.
Question
: Regarding the "Best deals Anywhere" racial, does this only apply to vendors which have a faction, or all vendors? I.e. Would it work on the vendors on my Traveller's Tundra Mammoth?
Isn't that vendor part of the Kirin Tor faction? And as for the question, it should only work for vendors who are faction members. The discount equals what you'd get from being exalted with that faction.

Thanks for the answers, got some more though.
Are all of the quest reward gear going to have new cata-models or are there still some classic/TBC models?
some do, and some dont. the goblin and worgen starting zone give gear with a new look, but in some other places, several of the items have placeholder looks, we're gonna have to wait for those awesome desings to pop up.
After Gilneas, do the worgen go to Darkshore or do they go to Westfall (storywise)?
now what reason on earth would they have to go to westfall? it's the night-elves who rescue them, and their new district is on darnassus, anyways, they go to darkshore.
Are there new lvl85 elite mobs a la Fel Reaver in Hyjal/Vashj'ir?
a lot of folk have mentioned it, and many more hate him :P I hereby present thee
the Whale Shark.
Are there any quests that involve Hearthglen and/or other Argent Crusade/-Dawn towns/cities?
yes, Heartglenn is now an argent crusade town, and will involve several quests in the eastern not-so-plaged lands.
I heard that the tree model have been improved, is this true?
depends on what trees are you talking about, if you meant the treants from the night elves, no, they all have the same models, if you meant the druid's tree of life, no it hasn't recieved an updated model, but it will soon, it's among their "to do" list.
Is it possible to wear a top hat with a monocle?
there is already a monocle in the game, and the worgen quest-chain will add a top hat (unknown if there is another top hat avaliable for non-worgens) but here's the catch, both the top hat and the monocle ocupy the same gear slot, the head, so u can only wear one at a time.
What is the average health of a player with full cata greens/blues?
about 50k, expect this number to go up, as only lvl 83 is enabled, and only 2 instances (the lowest ones) are avaliable.
Is it possible to go to Silithus, Winterspring or Alterac and if so what are the current changes there?
you can go, but these zones haven't been updated yet, for the time being they are exactly as they are today, nothing new there, eventually they will overhaul them, as they said that NOT A SINGLE ZONE will be left untouched, but for now they are identical to what you see today, minus one exeption
in Winterspring, there was a section called "Darkwhisper gorge" this section is now part of hyjal, and not winterspring.
Do the Deep Murlocs make the "Rawlrawlrawlrawl" sound?
I'm guessing they do, they woundn't be murlocs if they didn't, then again the Gorlocs introduced in WOTLK didn't made that sound, so who knows :P
Are trolls, goblins, undead and belves really banned from the center of Orgrimmar?
/facepalm
again this? that was a stupid rumor spread by the king of lies (glaring at MMOchamp) it has NOT A SINGLE OUNCE OF TRUTH IN IT.
just like their crap about Thrall being the guardian, or Garrosh executing cairne for treason, or Malfurion returning from the dream to invest thrall as the new guardian, or that thrall's role in cataclysm was to defend hyjal from ragnaros.
here's the real truth: Vol'jin and Garrosh argue, quite harsh may I add, and after they trow insults back and forth, vol'jin decides to leave by his own will, and goes to the echo isles, and that's it, NOBODY IS EXPELLED.
in fact in Garrosh's throne room there are representatives of all the 6 races of the horde, and you can see even more bio-diversity of races in all 5 sectors of the city than before. the only chance in relocation was, that in some sectors there is an majority of races. The cleft of shadows has a lot of forsakens, the troll slums has a lot of trolls, goblin sector has a lot of goblins, valley of wisdom has a lot of taurens, valley of honor has a lot of orcs.
but in all 5 sectors you can find NPC's of all races of the horde.
How much money can you make with just questing in the new zones?
ATM each quest gives sort of like anywhere from 9 to 15 gold? give or take.
And for last but not least, do some zones still share music (like Barrens and Desolace in live)?
they said that most (if not all) zones will have a brand new music score. To futher reflect the change that is being brought to the world. (the peacefull music that used to go in stonetalon isn't really fitting for the raging battle there)

Fix'd that for you.
