Before Light's Hope: For the Lich King, for the Scourge.
After Light's Hope: Death to the Scourge... by means of firey explosion and much wealth repossession.
Simply put; they would have a similar mindset as all other members of the Ebon Blade (their goal to destroy the Lich King) but I can see an ammount of their old Goblin traits - pyromaniac and wealth-monger - poking up through that.

Yep, I could also see a goblin death knight working well as a mercenary (much like any other class, but melee classes seem to fit the merc type better than casters).

If you read the Special Surprise quest for Goblins, it tells you that the Goblin you play as a Deathknight is part of the Steamweedle cartel. Read the quest and you will find out a lot more.
The ingame goblin DKs can have any background you want them to.
