I'd say this one would be better for starting off in kara if you want the improved traps:

In that build you also have Combat Experience and Careful Aim which will increase your damage by quite alot. However I'd advise at least trying the cookie cutter BM spec just to see how you function with it. I know it doesn't have improved traps, but it has a lot of other utilities.

The only reason you should want to dive into the Surv tree is to get Expose Weakness. Most everything else doesn't do anything for you. In a raid you generally want smooth, predictable, and constant dps as opposed to spikey dps provided by high crit chances. Thats why you dont see a lot of crit on PvE gear but you see more AP on it. The opposite applies to PvP gear where you want that massive burst damage that crits can apply.
One of the reasons that BM is the best choice for raiding right now is because of that smooth predictable damage output. Not a ton of crit but plenty of dps output due to fast shot rotations. For kara you shouldn't have to worry about clever traps and such. To me that would be more useful in PvP. If you know how to chain trap properly you can get up to 4 traps against a target on a single pull. And that's really all your raid party should expect of you. Do a little research and you'll find that although the 41/20/0 spec is cookie cutter, it works and provides a lot of dps.
