Thoughts on Darkspore?
I played it back in the beta, and I thought it was a fine enough game from what I saw of it, but I wasn't willing to drop $50 on it. Now it's on sale for $5, and I'm most likely going to pick it up, but most of the scores hover around 6/10 so I'm a bit worried about it.

Can you recommend me some good fantasy RPG? :) I played Skyrim, Morrowind. I didn't like Oblivion.
Kingdom of Amalur, and The Witcher.
In other news, the more I play the new Tomb Raider, the more I love it. FANTASTIC GAME.

Never played it. From the vids, it looks fairly generic and sort of uninspired, in my opinion.

To hell with fantasy. If you liked Morrowind and Skyrim, you will also like Fallout: New Vegas. There is nothing as similar to those games as F:NV is.
So the games I play recently are:
Warframe
, a free to play, co-op, 3rd person shooter, where you play a sci-fi cyborg ninja with some parkour capabilities (wall running, long jumps). Your goal is to complete missions on various planets and moons. A single mission has an average length of 10~20 minutes, assuming it is appropriate for your level (you can speed through a low level mission in 2-4 minutes). Mission objectives are fairly generic, obtain an item and bring it to a point, defend a place against waves of enemies, destroy some control points, kill a boss... but the overall presentation of the game is just great. I really like the techno-ninja theme, and fighting hordes of dudes in a small team of super commando robots, and levelling up my gear and collecting mods that look like cards and assigning them to gear which feels like I am building a deck... and stuff.
Also despite being free to play, you can pretty much play normally without being annoyed by money begging. There are a few options of buying "power", but all the methods of gaining power are obtainable for free as well, they just take a while. Every weapon and every type of ninja suit and every mod can be obtained without paying a cent.
Witcher 2
- I kinda returned to this game after a while. I never played it after they put in patch 2.0, so I wanna try it out. I am currently at level 6, in the first act of the game, and let me tell you, man, combat in Witcher 2 is
hard as !@#$
. I keep trying to go into the forest and kill some Endregas, but I always get stomped sooner or later, and I just keep replaying that segment over and over because I always forget to save (no autosaves holding my hand).

After having ME3 for a month, they finally sent me ME2.
Only played about 2 hours so far, might not be able to play again until Monday as I'll have a busy weekend.

Good.
Its somewhat of a shame you can't play the DLC content. Lair of the Shadow Broker, is a MUST HAVE, this is double-triple-quadruply true if you are romancing Liara.
Arival is also somewhat important, and Overlord while not so important, is still nonetheless cool to see.
The 2 latter could be safely watched in youtube, but Shadowbroker is something that really should be played.
It has THE BEST boss battle in almost the whole game. In fact, the 2 boss battles in shadowbroker were IMO the most satisfactory ones on the whole franchise for me, before Bioware released the Citadel DLC for ME3, which added the ultimate most awesome most fun and incredible boss battle for the whole franchise.

Well I might be able to get the DLC now. I do have internet but it sucks. It might just take a while for it to download. Right now I can't even get Xbox Live to update though, but that might be because I ran out of time a while ago.
But I played ME2 some more today and like the new hacking mini-games. Much better than the quick time button pressing imo. And I love the shops. I bought me some fish and a space hamster for my cabin.
And when I first got on the Citadel, I loved the speech an officer was giving to his men about firing and not acting like a cowboy shooting from the hip. Not to mention the other quips you hear when going around the station.
So I'm really looking forward to ME3 now, but I don't want to rush through the game and miss something.

Good. Those DLCs really add to the story, and not just in ME2, they carry over to ME3 and there's just a lot you'd miss in the third game if you don't play them. By far and wide, the highest priority one is Lair of the Shadow Broker. Followed closely by Arrival. Next on the priority list would be Kasumi, and Overlord. Last one of the least (last but not least) is Zaheed.
Firewalker is completely optional and you don't miss anything important by skipping it.

They're still annoying. I agree that they're a vast improvement over the first game's minigame. The hacking mini-game on ME1 was so annoying I just kept stockpiles of omnigel to bypass it entirely. This gets lampshaded on one of the DLCs ("Dont you just miss the days where you could just slap omnigel on everything?" "Yeah, THAT security upgrade sure pissed off a lot of people")
On the third game they just gave up and it has no hacking minigame at all. All the hacking you do is automatic.
And I love the shops. I bought me some fish and a space hamster for my cabin.
Just don't let the fish die like I did T_T
At the end of each mission, go up to your cabin and feed them.
And when I first got on the Citadel, I loved the speech an officer was giving to his men about firing and not acting like a cowboy shooting from the hip. Not to mention the other quips you hear when going around the station.
SIR ISAAC NEWTON IS THE DEADLIEST SON OF A B**** IN SPACE!
So I'm really looking forward to ME3 now, but I don't want to rush through the game and miss something.
Please dont. Mass Effect is something that has to be taken one step at a time, enjoy the ride, don't rush through it, cuz even the most minuscule detail you miss on any of the first 2 games could mean a cascade effect of lost experiences on the last one, where it all comes clashing together.

Oh and my character looks much better than he did in the first one for some reason. I imported him and I didn't like the way he looked because he eyes were to squinted. But when I uploaded him to ME2 he looked much better.
I'm also playing as a vanguard. If I can, I'll probably play a different class in ME3. I'm more of a med-long range fighter.

Loved vanguard in ME3 singleplayer so much. Found I like Engineer best for multiplayer.

I like to roll Vanguard for my Insanity playthroughs. It takes away from the enjoyment when you do not set the stakes on max.
But I never play the highest difficulty when I go through a game for the first time. Too impatient to reload a single fight seventeen times, until I find a perfect way of death-waltzing through the entire room. So first time I always run on normal for the story, and then I go insane for the challenge.
For my normal playthrough, I went Engineer. Engineers are amazing. Combat Drone and Overload, two absolutely amazing abilities. Really, Combat Drone, with how much it can distract enemies, and how long cooldown it has, actually feels overpowered. And Overload is great because it is a solid damaging power that has
no travel time
. On Multiplayer, I totally roll Human or Salarian engineer all the time, my weapon of choice being the M-6 Carnifex (lightweight, packs a serious kick).
By the way, for lower difficulty multiplayer, you should totally try a Reave-spam adept. Just get any Adept char that can use Reave, get the AoE upgrade for it, and spam Reave
all the time
. You will totally dominate the player rankings. Not that player rankings have any importance, but it still feels nice.

Since I asked last time, I'll ask again.
Who do you like in your squad?
So far I've unlocked, and mainly use, Jack and Garrus and I'm about to unlock the Krogan. And either I didn't pay attention to it in the first one, or the squad members help out a lot more this time around.

All of them, heh. Companions are all about their dialog for me, so I've worked to get every combination out that I can.

ME2 has so many companions lol. I just kept picking random ones most of the time. But Mordin and Garrus were my favorites.
In ME3, it was Garrus and Tali for all the missions where I could pick them (Tali comes kinda late in the game).
I only pick based on sympathies, never bothered about group-balancing and stuff.

Alpha protocol is such an underrated game in my opinion. Pop the same premise into a modern engine with less bugs and quirky design decisions, and you got yourself a killer sequel.

Watching glitchfesting and speedruns is fun.

Anyone else playing the Neverwinter beta?
I'm still angry that it got morphed from a singleplayer/coop game to an MMO, but I'm enjoying what I've played so far.

I heard about that awhile ago. How much is it like the NWN games?
Also, on an unrelated note,
welp...no more Pokemon for me.

Yeah those pokemon are quite overpowered.
I love using them lol

I'm becoming more and more convinced Gen V is extremely broken mechanically.

The one ability is probably the only one. And I think the person got lucky, if that move didn't miss he would of had to substitute for a while until they miss or something.
