So I found out my dad's brother, and my dad, to a lesser extent, were into a lot of prog rock when they were kids. King Crimson, Rush, Zappa, Yes, Jethro Tull.
My Uncle's yearbook quote was "21st Century Schizoid Man."
They sound awesome. I wish my dad was that cool.
I got into the music I listen to through my dad. We almost have the same taste in music, although his "spectrum" is larger than mine (listening to bands that are more prog, and also bands that I find too heavy, like Bloodbath).
Marillion is one of my favourite non-metal bands (both periods). Some others are IQ, Pendragon and Arena (which recently fired their vocalist *sadface*).

Yeah Muse is awesome indeed. You should see them perform live, they give one hell of a show. Allthough imo Supermassive Black Hole isn't their best song :p

Also: Apparently that song is overplayed because it is in Twilight, and people will say "I like Muse!" when they really only know that song.
All I have to say is: /shrug. I don't care. I love pretty much any song (except Hoodoo).

So, it's pretty obvious that I got Black Holes and Revelations. My favorite songs are: Supermassive Black Hole (as mentioned before), Knights of Cydonia (I could sing along when I heard it even though I never knew who it was by), Assassin and City of Delusion.

The Red Hot Chili Peppers' new album's working name is "Dr. Johnny Skinz's Disproportionately Rambunctious Polar Express Machine-head". If they actually keep that name for the release, it will be the greatest thing ever.
