Just watched Cabin in the Woods, was very funny. Thought Fran Kranz had great delivery. Up there with Rampart and Hunger games for top three films I've seen this year, displacing The Grey.
Also, watching Captain America (on a superhero flex) and
how in the hell did one guy infiltrate a compound brimming with armed Military Police and shoot his way out?

The same way Katniss always manages to shoot squirrels through the eyes or how Thor manages to brawl his way through a military compound.. etc.
I hated Captain America, so I just won't say anything about it in particular. :P

Iron Man was the better avengers movie, because it was more believable and had more "class". However, Thor was more visually appealing. Captain America was just.... pointless.

Well it was one unnamed villain, I was surprised lol.

Why? It is better than Thor. And out of all Avengers prequels, I liked it the most.
Well, there's no accounting for taste. :P The climax was a 30 second anti-climax and the whole film took too long to actually move. >.>

It's the Marvel universe, where persons of Mass Destruction routinely fight battles for the fate of the world....and you know, the Spies are almost always enhanced in some way: The Black Widow was trained in multiple styles of martial arts, given the best drugs, and is the only successful Russian 'super person'.

Hey, Colossus is Russian.
Edit: Not related, but I liked the Howling Commandos in Captain America.

Hey, Colossus is Russian.
And he ran away from home...since these movies are based on the Ultimate universe, where Colossus worked for the Mob before joining the X-Men.

Mhmm. They got something Lawrence from Water for Elephants and I Am Legend, two fairly average films that are apparently nothing like the books. Sounds legit. AND I'M GOING TO GET SO CONFUSED BECAUSE JENNIFER LAWRENCE IS SDKHSGKLH AND WAS THERE FIRST.

Oh joy.....

To be fair, it
is
Lionsgate's own fault not greenlighting
Catching Fire
until after
The Hunger Games
was out. If they'd have used a little more foresight, the whole scheduling farce would never have happened and Ross would still be directing (even if shaky cam was a little annoying).

Oh I know; still not looking forward to a take on it from a director that made I am Legend into a fast paced action flick and bowed to the need to make it endings more explodely! rather then use the original which would have had the vampire/zombie things just take the female out of his lab.

I kind of am dreading it too, although sometimes departing in parts from the source material
can
lead to positive changes being made, but I'm already waiting for Ross to return for
Mockingjay
. :P And as long as they get the right casting for - in particular - Finnick (who I still can't quite imagine anyone in existence playing, although I've seen a lot of Garrett somethingorother fan casting, and I guess he has the sex appeal for it) and Johanna, hopefully the cast'll be able to carry the film. I don't doubt that J-Law, Queen of Derp, can. That said, it looks like the producers and scriptwriters are the same as in the original, so hopefully it won't abort the franchise. I'm very optimistic already, as you can tell.

In Russia, Superhero is rescued by you!
I remembered a number of these from the comics I had in from the 80's.

And look at all the dead/exiled names on there =P.

During the cold war, being exiled from the Soviet Union and having to fight for the US or Canada or just justice in general WAS how they made a Russian Super Hero successful :P
