In Memoriam: Gary Gygax
Blizzard Entertainment would like to dedicate the patch in memory of Gary Gygax. His work on D&D was an inspiration to us in many ways and helped spark our passion for creating games of our own. As avid D&D players and fellow game developers, we were all saddened by the news of his passing; we feel we’ve lost a true adventuring companion. Thanks for everything and farewell, Gary. You will be missed.

*sigh* He quoted the post from WorldofWarcraft.com, and asked if they added any sort of memorial to the game. No hint of youth or ignorance.
As far as I know, no such memorial exists.

This might be seen as a sick joke, but Gary Gygax sounds like a name an Undead could have... He could ressucitate in an undead personnel of some kind.
But don't get me wrong, I'm just thinking game-wise. I was sadenned, like any roleplayer, by the loss of M. Gygax.

You must be young.... Gary was basically the inventor of this genre of game, back in the days where role playing was done with a bunch of friends around a table with paper, pencil and dice... Without his contributions, you probably wouldn't be playing WOW. I had no idea he had passed, truly sad...
that i am but recently for my b-day we went old school and got my step dad to be the DM and we had a grand time lots of soda and arguments....i need to do it again sometime
