Subject heading is neat... I vote Fury rogue! :P
now that I got that off my chest :P
I am L70 Fury Warrior, I want to join your group, will you take me? If yes, why, if no, why?
In short, No.
In detail,
In a 5 man instance,
No, because you don't do any more dps than other classes, can do no CC, and unless the group is primarily melee, you don't have great buffs.
In a 10 man raid,
Maybe, if you have tank gear.
Fury warrior is not a bad choice for an offtank in kara providing you have a decent set of tank gear.
A lot of kara only requires one tank and your extra dps during those times is an OK benefit. (but one that can be fulfilled by a druid just as easily).
In 25 man content,
Don't know much about it, but given the fact you have so much variety, I'd say sure.

In short, Yes.
In detail,
In a 5 man instance,
Yes. you provide the best sustained single target dps in the game.
You provide sufficient CC. (sap is more than long enough to down a couple targets before it breaks, with blind and stunlock / evasion tank for backups)
(note that past 5 mans, you'll probably have a lot of geared competition, so get used to the words "sorry, we already have a rogue")
In a 10 man raid:
Yes, you provide the best sustained single target dps in the game.
(and active threat reduction if you are doing too much of it)
You provide stuns that are situationally helpful.
You have lots of spell interrupts when necessary.
Blind still has its uses when you see a CC break before your tank does.
In a 25 man raid:
Again, I have little experience here,
but you can't argue with "you provide the best sustained single target dps in the game."
I agree with everything the above poster just said.

It's a lot harder for rogues to be invited to kara raids seeing as it's so melee UNfriendly.
But definitely would choose a rogue over a warrior for a heroic.

Download some killvideos from PvE guilds. Check the damagemeters. Rogues will often be around the top (along with warlocks etc.). Warriors tend to be slightly behind the rogues, but it does vary from fight to fight. Also, warriors being a bit behind rogues doesn't mean warriors are worse. There is a synergy between the classes, since the rogue DPS will be improved by being grouped with a warrior for battle shout. The same thing goes for shadowpriest; they make up for their lower DPS by improving the damage warlocks put out, as well as acting as mana batteries.

after speaking to some top guilds from my realm they showed me some DPS meters in sunwell, and i gotta say, the best rogue of them outdps'd the best fury warrior by 200dps.
but.
from my own experience the only classes that outdps me are hunters/mages, i MOSTLY outdps rogues+the other dps classes
(equal geared ofc)
