Full Holy and PVP

The pvp compendium doesn't include any full Holy builds up to Circle of Healing.

Is that just because in arena it's not that good? Or because Blessed Resilence isn't enough to keep you alive? Anyone who has tried this, I'd love to hear your experience.

I'm just curious because I love Circle of Healing and would hate to have to give it up.

I'm a CoH priest. I do occasionally PvP, and I don't respec for it because I'm cheap like that, and because I don't take it that seriously. It's not impossible to PvP as CoH by any means, but I do get flat out squished a lot of times if people aren't helping me. Or even sometimes if they are, heh.

On the other hand, I also play a feral druid alt. PvPing with her, I have come across heavy Disc spec priests. The difference between those priests and mine seems to be that they will not die. They at least appear to have a similar level of gear to my priest, but a lot of times I can't manage to kill them unless they're OOM.

Anecdotal, I know, but that's been my experience.

I'm assuming that you haven't taken Blessed Recovery or Blessed Resilience. I'm really wondering how well those help out in pvp. Ultimately, I think you're right... discipline is the spec to not die with.

But how survivable would blessed Recovery and Blessed Resilience make a holy priest?

After going from a holy/disc pve build to a disc pvp build, I still got rolled in BGs/arenas.
Then I tried: http://www.wowhead.com/?talent=bx0GkhTzbZfcthcMqVzh, a holy/disc build with Blessed Recovery/Resilience. Huge difference, can survive everything but coordinated focused fires by 3+ opponents, also helps prevent multiple shatter crits. I've read BR is actually better than a disc build until you get 3-400 resilience. I'm close to 250 atm. The nice thing about the build is it's a strong PVE build as well (I retained the GH talents).

Thanks Zequel, that's exatly what I was wondering. I was looking for something that would still give me a majority of healing talents.
