I thought I clicked a wrong Bookmark at first lol.
I was like wtf im on a WAR website...

I write this post then go to bed, when I wake up, I see all these QQ...
I made this post to be laugh a little, not to start a QQ fest!
1) WAR is not a crap game. It is not WoW, but it is not crap.
2) Advertising on Front page is good (and I noticed you fixed the problem with the ad going over the account setting options and the PTR link)

My thoughts exactly, exept that I don't have any war sites bookmarked.
Like wtf? I've seen the other adverts about the 3d screens and other stuff, but for an other game? And even a game that competes with wow? Hmm. Luckily I can use my firefox extension to block that.

It's not a decoration, it's an advertisement. Kind of like the one that's running on
Gamespot
right now.
These are how we pay the bills, guys. I prefer them to banner ads—they're more secure, and they hog less CPU power. :)

One suggestion is to put a black border around the top left and right sides of the screen where our links are for PTR, our user account, and such. I was barely able to get a click off myself. That would help those of us browsing on a fullscreen to get around it (Well, my third monitor where I browse is fullscreen. My other two are gaming screens and such >.<).
Just a suggestion, anyway.

Posting stuff about WAR on a WoW database website is not only in bad taste, but an incredibly good way to get a ton of people to move over to other DB sites. Whoever made the decision to use that 'skin' needs to be booted from the WoWhead team...
I have to agree with this. It's incredibly poor taste and actually pretty upsetting. WAR is a crap game, I want nothing to do with it, and I certainly do not want to look at their fugly character models. >_<
I'd rather use WoWArmory than look at that trash.

Oh no! But if you do that, then they might end up actually getting enough site traffic to need to utilize advertising campaigns to keep their site running, too! Will the madness never end?
Also - if you didn't like Warhammer Online - get over it. It's relevant, targeted advertising. That's like sitting around being ^&*!ed over a Pizza Hut ad because you like Domino's better and then choosing to boycott the site over it. I'd much rather get advertisements for other MMOs or computer-related things than like, life insurance or something. I'm playing another MMO right now that I discovered because of an ad on another MMO site. I didn't go SCREW YOU WHY DO YOU ADVERTISE OTHER MMOS ON THIS SITE ITS OBVIOUS THIS IS THE ONLY MMO I EVER WANT TO PLAY FOREVER AND EVERY OTHER ONE IS BAD GOD. No. I didn't.

Why would you advertise WoW related ads to a site that has the majority of people who already have WoW?
