this christmas blizzard decided to give a special somthing to the tailors of the world of warcraft, and when my arrived in the post i was happy. but then i learned that the allies got red clothes and this irked me no end because imo they looked better, red is THE winter clothes colour.
but i had (like all but one hordie on my realm) gotten a green one =(....
but then i learned that due to bugs the pattern for green cloths had appeared on the xmas vendor in org, ergo i thought the red pattern had appeared on a vendor at IF. i was 85% sure... with this almost certain thing in mind i noted the vendor was a goblin so i formed a plan.
on january 1st 2008 (happy new year!) my level 70 undead fire mage traveled to arathi highlands on a flight from UC and headed south from hammerfall. the trip thru arathi, wetlands, loch modan (briefly) and most of dun moroh was easy.

Then the assent to IF began, i snuck up aggroing (and therefore killing) 3 guards. i used the PX-5 winterwonder volt thing to look like a gnome.

Then i used invisabilty to get past the gates. waited, killing the patroling guard that aggroed.

Then after 5 min CD invis +

one guard aggroed so i sheeped it. i bought the pattern and attempted to flee the city

but the ally scum saw thru my gnomish disguise and killed me. i ran back and using invis made it to the deeprun tram where a 70 human pally called kunêh killed me. i ran form the elywin forest GY thru SW, took the tram and retrived my corpse. then i evaded a 70 night elf priest called Mouko (by luring of the tram then getting on and leaving him on the platform =P) and teleported from on the moving tram.
i got my prize though and had good fun doing it =P wanted to tell my story to the masses, starting here.
