It doesn't matter where you fish. You can go from 0-350 fishing just by fishing in Stormwind (well, leaving to increase your possible skill at the appropriate points that is).

It doesn't matter to your fishing leveling, but the loot you get(and the fish) make a big difference if you have any use for the better stuff. ;)

Or, at higher levels, I have found Zangarmarsh an awesome place to level up fishing AND get some cash. Zangarian Sporefish, Golden Darter and the large/enormous fish sell rather well as buff food. You may get a few motes of mana/primal manas in the meantime, as well as junk that sells well.
Or the lake north from Shattrath is another good option...and it's safer.
