I'm curious you can fish anywhere to get your skill up right? Does it matter what type of fish like if I went for a higher end fish would it go up faster or the same?
Thanks...
I'm gonna hit up the floating wreckage too lol! I'm at 265 fishing too...

Nope, doesn't matter what kind of fish or what lvl they are, you get skill ups just the same from Zangermarsh as you do from The Barrens.
I got to lvl 375 by fishing in the pond in Orgrimmar, waiting to go in battlegrounds.
However, if you want to sell the fish to make money and lvl your skill up, I'd suggest fishing in Terrokar Forest which has lots of lovely pools of Golden Darter and Nagrand for the pools of 'pure water' where you fish out motes of water. Of course if you haven't picked up the book to learn the fish finder skill on your mini map, go fish in the debris in Zangermarsh and you're bound to get it without too much fuss.
Also, if you have a flying mount, its worth fishing in the barrier hills just outside of Shattrath where pools of 'highland mixed' fish spawn and from those you glean 'furious crawdad' a fish needed to max out 375 cooking skill and which also sells nicely on the AH.

Crawdads aren't needed to max out cooking. There are other recipes that can do that as well.
Ok if you're gonna be picky about it.....but high end fish ARE needed to max out cooking to 375. You can't get there on warp burgers and clefthoof meat, you need enormous barbed gill trouts, huge spotted feltails, furious crawdads etc. All high lvl fish.

I've got every cooking recipie outside of daily reward box ones, and I had to use furios crawdads to get my cooking to 375. The only other recipie that could possibly get skillups, was a fish recipie.
