Even before TTW, Arcane was the better choice because of Spell Impact + Focus Magic.
It will be mandatory to be competitive as Fireball to go all the way to TTW. Seriously.

I would take two points out of Arcane Meditation and put them into Flame Throwing. You'll have 30% already from the new Pyromania and as of right now with Frostfire in 25 man raids, I never have mana problems. Ever. That extra 6 yards on most fire spells is clutch.
But yes, Fire/Arc will be the dominant spec next patch, and we can go back to stacking haste. I feel so dirty gemming for crit.

Also, Fireball only accounts for about 70% of a deep fire's arsenal. You're only looking at about 10% improvement from before, which should only put it a couple of percentage ahead of Frostfire.
