Markoth approached the barricade, appraising it. He reached into his coat and pulled out a small vial of holy water. "Running low," he murmured.

Funden eyed the group and let out a breath, to where he wasn't breathing at all. He took a shoot. Quickly resighting, he took another two shots, downing the three watchmen set around the camp with barely a whisper of sound.

"Never doubted you, sis," Turin said in all seriousness, then his ears twitched and he turned to face his parents and the newcomers. His lips stiffened into a fine line as he glared daggers at Markoth, but fortunately this time he kept his mouth shut.

"Wonder if I can outrun them," he murmured, nearing the river.

Markoth poured the holy water around the barricade, lifted his book and started to read it. Not out loud, but just reading. His hands started to glow slightly as he did so.

HIS CAN'T BE GOOD, Jaws muttered, walking from Kareth's bed and to Cyrus, looking at the orb.

The holy water evaporated, turning into a mist hanging low to the ground. Markoth then pulled a quill from his coat, along with a jar of golden ink, and started drawing a large, elaborate symbol on the ground.

Funden took two more shots, when a cultist turned and spotted a downed guard. He opened his mouth to scream.

Funden sent a salute Isilver's way, and kept a watch for any retreating cultists.

Markoth continued to draw the symbol, putting the large part of his concentration into the drawing. He finished the first part of the symbol, which looked vaguely like a large, rounded cross, then started adding writing on the inside.
((In my defense, the symbol of the church of the Light seems to be a cross, even if I don't like crosses.))

Funden took down two that tried to flee, then lowered the rifle. All the remaining cultists had been slain.

Markoth finished the writing, then knelt in the center of the cross and bowed his head. He didn't say anything, but the ink around him started to glow softly.

What came out was really crude, but a bird motif was most certainly present. Turin then plunged his sword into the middle of the carving and began to send waves of Sunwell's Light through his weapon.

OU IDIOT, Jaws snarled at Cyrus. The latter only raised his hands defensively, watching the orb intently. Jaws shook his head, the prosthetic clanging, and stepped to the bed as well.

Markoth rose after a minute, leaving the symbol shining softly with Light. He stepped to the side, leaning on the barrier, and watched Turin carve.

"The fuсk?" Cyrus stared in amazement.
A violent spasm shuddered Kareth's body, hogging him into an arc. The Blood Lord's fists clenched tightly, and he subsided, breathing deeply. Jaws took off one of his gauntlets and touched his master's neck.
