Personally, I've found the NE nature resistance to be hugely helpful in resisting poison damage and nature spells. I like the added mitigation that it gives when Mark of the Wild is up.
Tauren also have +10 Nature resist.

I have a tauren druid and an NE druid, my tauren is much higher as i didnt play the NE up much after it hit 40.. I found the +5% health bonus to be extremely useful and warstomp to be a weapon far greater than the stealth/drink utility in pvp.. although the shadowmeld is useful for patrolling mobs and the like.. all up i enjoyed playing horde much more, mainly just because (maybe its just my server but) more experianced players seem to roll horde and its more fun playing alongside a good player than 50 that keep asking you idiotic questions... its not that alliance dosnt have experianced players (i was killed in PVP once :O) they just tend make up gigantic hordes of idiots aswell...
i guess new players to the warcraft theme roll "good" (which has never really been an appealing thing to me)
Nelf's are just too common for my liking and the tauren racials i like more (my warstomp lasts for 0.1 seconds longer than it takes to charge up regrowth ;P)
of course thats just my thaughts.. man theres alot of bitching about the tauren cat form... i quite like it, i think it was beautifully done. As for better starting area.. i enjoyed mulgore and the Barrens was a giant string of grinding quests which is perfect for levelling and gets you a reasonable amount of money/gear.
Tbh I don't think there's any difference about how much idiots there are at Horde or Alliance. You can check it yourself:
1. Hang around the Barrens for 1 day.
2. Hang around Goldshire for 1 day.
3. Barely survive due to the amount of idiots at both places
4. ??????
5. Profit!

not sure if someone said this already but, if you plan on doing 2v2 as a resto druid, drink + shadowmeld is uber cheap

TAUREN will always be in my heart. although night elves have a cooler cat form...thats what skin mods are for. :P
Thats actually illegal, so if you are using one, I recommend immediately uninstalling it.

So they do! That's really interesting, I never noticed that before. I thought that Blizzard rotated all racials so that they all had their unique class, but I was wrong. Very interesting, thanks for pointing that out to me.

Hopefully we all understand that HP is important for a tank, just like Dodge is. It's not like 1% dodge makes you a crappy tank, lol.

ive seen night elf druids and they look crap compared to taurens (imo)

Its in the ToS but its not actively enforced, just don't go bragging about your pink orc to a GM or anything stupid like that.
