My university has a vending machine with keyboards and stuff.
Also, rep brought me to OT. I wanted to get rep for reporting someone, lol.

Seriously? "Special Beam Cannon"? THAT is what they called Piccoro's special move? the glorious Makkenko-sappo gets named "Special Beam Cannon"? That's almost as bad as the Genki Dama being dubbed "Spirit Bomb". Seriously, FUNimation just loves to butcher the classics.
American audiences wouldn't digest Makkenko-sappo too well. I kind of like Spirit Bomb too. English isn't a very romantic language, definitely not as romantic as Japanese, but Spirit Bomb at least makes it sound epic.

Not sure if anyone watched Ranma 1/2, but one of his signature moves was
Hissatsu Tenshin Amaguriken
, which literally translates into "Deadly Chestnut Fist technique" (or thereabouts), compared to the English version of "Chestnuts roasting on an open fire technique". It works in show, but taking a literal translation can often result in some very strange wordings.

/shrug.
Latin American audiences digested it just fine. The only character in the whole show who had english-named attacks was Vegeta, everyone else kept their japanese-named attacks, Including Krillin's "Kien-sai" Goku's "Kamehame-ha" Picoro's "Makkenko-sappo" Gohan's "Maseko-sappo" Tao Pai-pai's "Do-don pa" ect ect.
Same goes for other shows, in Rurouni kenshin (or as its known in the west, "Samurai X") everyone kept their japanese names for their techs.

I did watched that show (Too bad I never saw the ending =( they stopped broadcasting it on my country after the second season) and yep, over here they also kept the japanese names intact.
Not sure if the latin american dubbers were lazy to translate/adapt the names, or if they just wanted to respect the source material but either way I'm grateful they didn't changed them.
Then again, (and don't take this the wrong way pls) america loves JUST LOVES to butcher anime in general. I still cringe over what they did with the soundtrack of Dragon Ball, and the opening/closing songs of so many awesome shows like Digimon and Shaman King.
Not even mentioning how they destroyed "Card Captor Sakura" (to the point of making her a sidekick!) or how they changed Sailor Moon as well.
Because clearly if 2 women love each other, in the US they are better depicted as cousins with a crush on each other, than an open gay couple.
