Has anyone ever heard of a pulsar?
When a star dies supernovas, it (sometimes?) leaves behind a small mass that is spinning very rapidly. A pulsar weighs about the same as our sun does, is about 10 km in diameter, and can spin about 600 times a minute. That is about 10 revolutions a second. Imagine something with that mass whirring around like that.... amazing.

Yeah, sometimes novas/supernovas leave pulars behind, sometimes black holes, sometimes neutron stars. It's all pretty awesome.
