Doing more damage from behind?

I heard somewhere quite a while ago that, special moves aside, rogues' white damage misses less from behind, or it does more damage or crits more, or
something
.
Is this true? I know it's always best to be behind a target for easy backstabs etc, but if only autoattacking, does being behind a target help at all?

You aren't ever parried when attacking from behind. You can't dodge attacks from behind in PVP, but your attacks from behind can be dodged in PVE.

Attacks from behind can never be parried or blocked, whether it's PVE or PVP.

Mobs cannot parry when striking from behind.
Not only that, Blizzard seems intent on making cleaves an integrated part of every boss' arsenal. Being dead reduces your DPS, after all.
EDIT: Addressing the seeming parry from behind, you might have been attacking from the side, just past the cusp between front/back? 's all I can think of...this IS Blizzard, after all.

You say so urself in pve your dodges can be dodged. o.O.
Yes, I wrote that your attacks from behind can be dodged in PVE, because they can, but not in PVP, where they can't. Both of those quotes say
exactly that
.
I didn't write that attacks from behind can be parried, because they can't. Parries and dodges are two entirely different things
Again, in bold:
PVP
Attacks from behind cannot be dodged, parried or blocked.
PVE
Attacks from behind can be dodged, but not blocked or parried.
