Does the Ironforge Quartermaster really only sell these five items?

I've been wearing an Ironforge tabard for a while to get Ironforge to Exalted and I got there last night. I havn't yet had a chance to check back in game but in the meantime I've had a look at Wowhead and it only lists five items for sale from Captain Stonehelm. Three cloaks (which I don't understand their purpose- transmog?), the tabard itself and a 16 slot bag.

Is this the case? Is there any reason/reward I've missed in getting Ironforge to Exalted?

That's how all the races are. If you were to go to the human, nelves, gnomes, tauren, orcs, whatever quartermaster, they're all going to sell the same thing: tabards, cloaks, and bags.

Is there any reason therefore to get these races to Exalted? Is it simply for an achievement or two?

Yeah, it's easy achievements and a title or two. But why wouldn't you want to be exalted with your faction's races?

You certainly don't have to do it, but if you're questing or running dungeons, might as well wear their tabard to gain rep. The cloaks are good for transmog, but they are also good for their level if you need them. The bags are far cheaper than buying Netherweave ones off the auction house. It's definitely nice for leveling alts and junk.

You can't buy any race's racial mounts until you hit exalted with them, except your own race. Also, if you plan on going back and farming the Argent Tournament for all of the mounts, pets and assorted vanity items there, I believe certain things are unlocked by being both a champion of and being exalted with each city.(##RESPBREAK##)8##DELIM##ElhonnaDS##DELIM##

Oh, that's right too, El. I forgot about the rep to buy the mounts since I did it before the tabards were available.

I believe you got 'of ' as a title when you became exalted and an Argent champion.

Ah I see, I had expected any mounts to be available from the Quartermaster but it seems it's Veron Amberstill I need to visit.

Don't forget the 20% discount you get with a faction.
If you happen to buy epic flight or something at IF, it'll save you a pretty penny.

you get a discount on all items and repairs purchased from NPC's related to that faction. This is true of all factions.

plus its a point of pride.
