Do you own or run a blog? Do you read blogs?

Hey everyone,
I'm curious to know how many Wowheaders own or write for a blog. Keep in mind you're not supposed to advertise your own blog, so don't post any links in here that's against the guidelines.
The reason why I'm curious is I want to get a better sense of how many people nowadays between the ages of 15-30 (average demographics of gamers) have a passion for writing. It doesn't have to be writing; it could be doing reviews of movies, action figures, wow-patch-notes, etc. It could be posting photography shots and abstract screenshots. It can be anything.
Today in one of my university courses we talked about facebook, twitter, and all that crap that people use to update their online lives with. Technically those can be seen as a blogging tool as well, since the definition of a blog is very broad nowadays. However, I'm speaking more of writing paragraphs or posting thoughts with more depth than, "#Went for icecream today with the gang, had fun."
Anyway, the class was discussing the meaning of why people blog. So let me ask the community some questions: EDIT: I'm also interested in how many follow blogs:
1. Do you blog?
2. If the answer is yes, why do you blog and about what? If the answer is no, why not?
3. Do you follow a blog on a regular basis? Which ones (no links) and why?
----
I'll begin:
1. Yes
2. I blog because I have an interest in sharing my ideas. I'll be honest I don't get a lot of traffic (in fact I don't think there's any), but I think the passion is what drives me rather than seeing 10 comments each on my blog posts. I blog about my hobbies and interests, specifically web design, anime, and slice of life issues. Ultimately I believe that through writing, I can understand myself better and improve on my English and grammar. I find that when I write, it's actually easier to express myself sometimes than interacting with another socially.
3. Wowhead and MMO-Champ I follow pretty much every day since it's good to find news on my favourite game. There's also an anime website that updates users with upcoming tv series. So it's good to find out the latest on anime.

Nope. I don't really know anyone that would follow it unless I advertised it here (which I may be able to get away with >.>), but mainly it's because I'm lazy. Wowhead is pretty much my blog, except broken up in shorter segments.

I try to, but I don't. I started a blog, drafted a few ideas, and insisted that I'd get up to at least 5 posts before I actually launched it slowly, because that would ensure that I actually keep going. Needless to say, I didn't get up to that.
However, I'm putting together a proposal for a PhD research topic at the moment, based on the same approach - if I can't get the proposal up, I'll never finish the PhD. If I do manage to get it going, I'm probably going to create a new blog about the work I'm doing to keep me motivated.

I'd read your blog.

I'm not interesting enough to have a blog. Nobody would read it.

So far i'm getting the general consensus that when you write a blog, you want people to read it. Is that true in your cases?

Why else would I write one?

I don't read 'real' blogs; as in blogs by random people on the interweb. I really don't care what Ravengoddess571 had for lunch today, or that he's feeling really sucky.
I do read the blogs on sites such as Wowinsider, and the blogs here on Wowhead, but that's mainly because they have information about the game.
As for myself; I doubt I'd ever create a blog, don't really care if people read my random thoughts or not.
No, the irony of the post is not lost on me.

Like I said in my post, I write one because it helps me improve on my writing skills and get a better understanding of myself.
Sometimes you just have to jot down the ideas in your head because you can't convey them properly through another means of communication.

You can write something down without posting it free to the world. The fact that you can't convey them suggests that you want other people to read it. If you don't want people to read it, presumably, you would just keep a personal diary for the purposes of your improving writing skills, as many did in the past.
The purpose of a blog, as opposed to a personal diary, is to get interaction between the writer and viewers. If you don't want interaction, or are not interested in the interaction, then you might as well be writing in a Word document (which I've done in the past).

My English class made me make a blog. The topics are currently limited to Sustainability, but I may broaden the horizons and keep the blog after this semester is over.
And I blog on Wowhead. Sometimes.

Yeah . . . I had one blog lined up at the beginning of December for the Cata release, but it wasn't published in time and had to be deleted.

I would never be able to write a blog for personal fulfillment as many people do. I already do that in my head...I don't need to write it all out. The only reason I would ever blog is to share my ideas with other people, but the problem is that not many people agree with me, and I'm not sure I'd get enough readers to make it feel worthwhile.

I have in the past but not currently.
The first blog I started was a joint attempt with a few other Wowheaders to write specifically about Warcraft lore. This was back before WoW.com's Know Your Lore blog, and when very few others dedicated to that purpose existed. I had wanted to go more into examination and analysis of lore- comparing it to our world and such, where the ideas came from, etc. But due to low readership and a general lack of ideas, I decided to shut it down. Then I began to blog on my own, taking things that I thought about from time time and giving them a humorous spin in my posts. I shut that one down as well, for the latter reason listed earlier- as I didn't care about readership with that one.
On a regular basis- no. I'll occasionally read Know Your Lore, the Wowhead Blog, The Journal of Cartoon Overanalyzations, and some others through StumbleUpon. Know Your Lore is usually just a refresher on what I already know. The Wowhead Blog is usually either Queggy's Giants of Lore(when he puts a new one out), or the BFF Report, as I don't play WoW anymore- so I don't care much about the gameplay aspects. And the Journal of Cartoon Overanalyzations is usually just for kicks- a feeling of, "Hey, I never thought of it that way," or "Totally called it!"

Hivolt, I had forgotten I had started Giants of Lore.
:(
Now I feel bad . . .
Blah . . . If I get time during school I should write another.
