If you wish to create a death knight on a pvp or rp-pvp server, you cannot create the character on the opposite faction of what you currently play. For example, if you have alliance characters on a pvp or rp-pvp server, you cannot create a horde death knight on that same server.
K my 70 is on a pve server . Can i make a horde Death knight on a pvp server?
If you dont have an Alliance char on that server - yes! The rule is only for having already chosen a faction on a server. On a new server you are free to choose your side.

Can i conclude that when u've puttet all your effort in lvling a character to lvl 70, to transform it in a deathknigh as soon as WOTLK comes out, u start at lvl 55 again when u do so ?
Or can u lvl from the lvl what the character was before transforming it in DK ?
Are you posting this on purpose? I mean it has been said a lot of times by now: You dont trade any chars for the DK. If you have a class (no matter which) at level 55 or higher you can create a DK. It means you use one of your free character slots to create a new(!!!) char. Making a DK is like making a twink.

If i, when WOTLK comes out, convert my lvl 70 lolladin into a DK.... will it be a lvl 55 DK to start with or a lvl 70 ?
No, actually you didnt understand the hole DK creation concept. There is no conversion! You create a new lvl55 Death Knight.
Thats why you should read the FAQ before asking somethin like... that.

i think dks are going to be overrated and cheat, they should have stuck with the quest line idea to become a dk but now every1 and their grandma can be a dk which means that 1 of every ten dks will be actually smart and skilled people and the other nine of every ten are going to be a bunch of n00b losers looking for a short way to level 80( new level cap)

Like most hunters from the beginning of WoW and most warlocks since some people mentioned they are imba... The bonus for us DKs is that they will not be imba, like Kaplan stated. So probably most DKs will be abandoned at 60 and most people will continue to level their mains.
Hellfire Peninsula was always a melee hell. I think that most will Retribution like level at Blood and fail ;)

id try a dk but more for comedy purposes like raiding black temple, but no dk better step in silvermoon, its just too soon lol

First off, undeaddragon67, welcome to the Wowhead forums. Second, response time.
why do u have to be lvl 55 to be a death knight thats pretty stupid some people have trouble getting to lvl 55
The reason why is because Blizzard doesn't want someone who just bought WoW and get a free level 55 character right off the bat without even knowing what to do in the game. Plus Blizzard is big on lore for Death Knights and it doesn't make sense to have a measly level 1 DK.
Also, check out curse.com for addons to help with leveling if you're struggling with it. Ones like QuestHelper and Cartographer are good.

Either way, I'm really excited to see what talent trees people will go for with the DK. I'm more of a melee kind of guy so I might go for Blood...but I really like the way the Unholy tree sounds, lol.

Very Nice Post! My only worry about being a DK is the armor. WOTLK will only come out once I ding well into 70 and get some good gear and what not. If you put your current armor in the bank, become a DK, will your previous armor be in the bank?
yet again I have to answer the same old question.
listen carefully - you do not have to 'sacrafice' or 'transform' any of your current characters in order to get a deathknight. As long as there is one character anywhere on your account that is above the level of 55, you will be able to make a NEW character of the deathknight class, as a seperate character entirely.
