"Damn it," the succubus muttered when the whip failed to snag the bird's feet. The demoness fired off a bolt of fel magic at the bird, to deter it from trying anything else.

Vahij watched the bird fly upwards, launching a few more bolts of fel magic in it's general direction as well as using another spell to try and convince it to halt the flapping of it's wings.

Vahij approached the bush at a leisurely base, bending over and picking up the bird upon reaching it.

Vahij then proceeded to walk slowly back to Silvia, holding the bird gently but firmly to ensure it would not escape. "Look what I found," she smiled, holding it up for her companion to see, but still making sure she held Ashorn tightly enough to prevent him from escaping.

"I'm actually kinda curious, that second chance... is of me still dying painfully while you are all laughing at a gullible demon?" the felguard deadpanned.
Meanwhile, three more demons were approaching the Inquisitor's posse, concealing their presence and letting the felguard draw attention - a felhound, prowling through the shadows, a succubus, disguised as a mortal and averting eyes via illusion magic, and the imp from before, skipping across the roofs.
"I have an idea," Robert said, taking out a small pouch with silver and copper coins and leaving it on the table in the room. He then quickly grabbed several rags and towels, wrapping himself in them.

"You have three seconds before I decide for you," the inquisitor replied flatly, ignoring the felguard's question. Normally she gave a little more time, however she did not trust the demon an inch. She turned her head faintly and nodded to her men, immediately they became alert and ready for battle.
"Well, wha' is i'?" Vagrin demanded, not liking being left in the dark at such a moment.

"Grab the clothes and disguise yourself," Robert said, throwing Vagrin a long piece of cloth. "Tis either a scarf or a turban, take your pick."
"I do believe we can settle this in a civilized manner, don't you agree? GRA-A-A-A-A-A-A-A-A-A-A-AH!" Arc'Arahm the felguard roared, charging out of the house and into the men, sending not one but two of them flying in a wide arc with a mighty swing if his axe.
At that same time, Khadomo the felhound leaped forward, tackling a priest, and tearing out his throat. Gesvene the succubus lashed out with her barbed whip, wrapping it around a paladin's neck, sending a powerful enslaving spell through. Tarnik the imp, meanwhile, began showering the crowd with fireballs.

Inquisitor Varall, Vagrin Wrathhammer

The inquisitor reacted immediately, slashing the felguad's heels with her scythe before swinging it at the demon's lower spine.
The paladin the succubus was attacking wrenched the whip free from his neck, the barbs somehow failing to kill him. Immediately he was joined by two heavily armoured comrades, both of which sent hammers of holy light hurtling towards succubus.
The priests in the group, meanwhile, had erected barriers of holy light around the felhound, trapping it. Varall's sharpshooters opened fire from a nearby rooftop, sending a volley of crossbow quarrels hurtling towards the demon.
Other priests raised shields against the volley of fireballs the imp sent their way, returning fire with spells of their own.

Arc'Arahm performed a trick that seemed highly unlikely, coming from someone with his posture. First he hurtled his axe into one of the priest sustaining the barrier that kept Khadomo trapped while the felhound was tossing and turning inside, dodging most - but not all - of the bolts. The weapon came all the way through the priest, bifurcating him - coupled with the felhound's natural talent to dampening magic - which was, admittedly, not at its forte dealing with divine as opposed to arcane, but was formidable nonetheless - that was enough to free Khadomo, who immediately proceeded to tackle another priest.
Arc'Arahm then somersaulted towards the shield-casting priests, getting away from Varall with a long, but shallow slash that seemed only to enrage him and did not touch the spinal cord. He kicked one of the priests with enough brute force to shatter the ribcage and raised his hand. His horrible weapon jumped into it obediengly.
Gesvene dropped flat on the ground, hoping that the hammers were not homing. She lashed out with her whip again, wrapping it around one of those who sent the hammer's feet and jerking forcibly, aiming to topple him.

The felhound, now released, threw itself into Marcus' side and sent him sprawling. He landed quite properly, though, on his back and it didn't cause more than a few bruises and some discombobulation. Shaking his head to regain focus, he drew a quick breath and channeled some energy to his aching bodyparts. Then he began lighting a holy fire attack between his hands, doing his best to aim despite his unstable vision.

Inquisitor Varall, Vagrin Wrathhammer
Ratchet
Varall bounded after Arc'Arahm, moving with incredible speed and agility. The scythe began to glow blindingly, holy flames erupting from the weapon and engulfing the inquisitor.
Within mere seconds Varall was once again at close quarters with the felguard, this time she conjured chains of light magic and sent them hurtling towards her opponent's legs, before pointing at the demon with one gauntlet and creating a wall of holy flames around the two of them.
"It's just you and me now, coward," she spat, readying her scythe.
Meanwhile, another priest had rushed to Marcus' aid, creating a wall of magical spears around the felhound, all facing inwards. Immediately a second, larger volley of crossbow bolts pelted the beast.
At the same time as all this happened, the paladin with the injured neck retreated a small distance to heal up - but still managed to launch a few distracting spells in the succubus' direction. The whip succeeded in toppling the paladin it had latched on to, but his friend charged the demon and slammed into her with his reinforced plate armour before she could do anything further.

Arc'Arahm let out a barking laugh, runes covering his midnight black armor and khorium axe glowing up with sickly green light. Moving with speed and finesse that implied there was a lot more than brutal, animal strength behind his axe, the felguard gracefully leaped away from the chains and took a low guard stance, eying Varall.
"Coward, she says. Tell me, when was the last time you met your equal in combat instead of a weakling you devastated, knowing all too well that they are no match for you and you can indulge you sadistic urges?" he asked.
Somewhat dazed, Gesvene acted swiftly still. With strength more suiting a hulking monster like Arc'Arahm rather than an elegant creature she looked like, the succubus tore away the helmet of the paladin that slammed into her and, keeping his broad, armored back between herself and the rest of the posse, bit into his lips in a demanding kiss, poison seeping into him and overwhelming his mental defenses as she poured enslaving magic into him.
The felhounds are no mere beasts, devilishly cunning and able to assess tactical situation and act accordingly, turning the tables and playing to their strengths. Khadomo was a proud member of his kind, and he lived up to its fearsome reputation, leaping into the air, away from the spears and too fast for all of the bolts to touch him. He landed on a priest, toppling him, and lunged for the nearest other member of the clergy. The terrible jaws closed around the unlucky victim's leg and he found himself flying into Marcus.
The sharpshooters could not boast the magical protection their comrades down in the street had, and Tarnik the imp did not fail to exploit it, sending a particularly large fireball into their midst that turned the one of them nearest to the little demon into a walking pyre.
