For some reason, the conversation with the sister he had never before met seemed to have a higher priority than Alana pouting, even if Alana was Calin's sister.
"I'm sorry," Isaac said sincerely. "Must have been hard growing up."
"Yeah, 'not bad' is probably the best it gets," Jastiel nodded sagely, then grinned, "Without the appetizers, of course. Come on, try that cake," he prompted, all the while popping open a bottle of his own.
"Look, we both I'm not my friend the sparkle cow, so I can't sprout inspiring sagely wisdom at the drop of a hat," Lisciel sighed, "So I'm just gonna once again say you should try healing people more and leave it at that."

"If you want to say something, I've been told using your mouth might be a good idea," Lisciel prompted.
"You haven't," Isaac said neutrally. He could not yet predict how his sister would react to a suggestion Silvia might be manipulating her, not from what little he knew. He had to find out more.

"Many things I'm sure. What do you have in mind?" Lisciel smiled innocently.

Isaac scratched his left horn again and sighed tiredly, yet with a smile, "Crap."
"Must be the loss of blood. Do I look pale? I know my hair is perfect, but does my skin now look too fair?" Lisciel asked with anxiousness that anyone who knew him could decipher to be histrionic.

"So was there a training regime, then? A master and apprentice routine that Silvia set up in order to groom you into her successor?" Isaac stuck out his tongue, visibly grateful that Kalra did not address him like their mother did.
Lisciel let out a small laugh, "I missed you as well."

Lisciel hugged the heifer back. When he pulled back, he rolled down the sleeve and put the glove back on, then experimentally flexed his fingers.
"You know, for some time when I first met her I thought that was just a ruse and in reality Silvia is a lot pickier. But nope, turns out she does get around that much," Isaac sighed wistfully.
"On the plus side, dad says I at least got her good looks - and not much else."

"Don't worry, I really haven't lost that much blood. More than I thought I would, but I'm fine and like I said you did well," Lisciel said firmly. "But I could use a snack. Preferably some chocolate," he added thoughtfully, casting a glance in the direction of Jastiel, Coldpelt and their cake.
"So did you spend your entire life with her? What was meeting other kids like?" Isaac rubbed the punched spot again as he spoke; Alana had always had a heavy hand.

"Star-Wrath?!" he choked from the floor.
"Pretty sure this place has stocks of food that are begging to be raided."
Lisciel flung himself to his feet. "A-raidin' we shall go!" he announced.

"That reminds me, did you have your breakfast yet?" Lisciel asked. The two clouds followed the pair, occasionally bumping into each other.
