I'm just wondering, how is the Holy Nova spell in the 2.3 patch? I want to change to heal spec for my friends and use this spell, but I can heal just as well as a shadow for now (lvl 23)
Shadow for levelling. Period. Up until, well, 70, you will heal just fine as a shadow priest. Only when you get into heroics (or maybe normal Shadow Labs) will you have too many problems healing. The higher you get, however, make sure you have a healing set, and a damage set of gear. While your talents won't make you a liability as a healer the higher you get, your gear will.
Also, for later on, I was wondering... How does a disc preist do in PvP? I'm wondering cuz they seem to have quite a bit of survivablity in that spec :P
If you want to heal in PvP, then disc/holy is the way to go. THE endgame PvP healing spec is something like this:
28/33. Going farther into disc is nice for Pain Suppression and reflective shield, but you give up on the #1 survivability talent: Blessed Reslilience.
