For Example on today's:
first was Dal Rend, I knew it was his swords so just had to figure out which link had the image
second I knew was a vendor in eversong by fairbreeze
third was related to warsong so checked the zone page, the faction page
fourth was the boots, I locked up here because I searched the wrong ranges too long at the start, but I knew enough that they were not above green quality, and were drop based.
fifth I checked the earth totem page first, but there's only 2 active earth totems as the totem is visually emoting.
I had exactly the same line of thought process, except that I don't play Horde much, so I had no idea for the Blood Elf NPC. I searched NPCs in areas with similar tileset like Magister's Terrace, IoQD, Silvermoon and so on. By the time I had wasted 30 minutes on this, I gave up. Oh well, better luck tomorrow then.
Someone should delete the comments on Mongoose Boots and the green quality boots (which name I forgot already). Mongoose Boots were my first thought, so you were a bit lucky with thinking they were not better than Green quality. If an item has a poor look, I'd say not better than Blue.

Also thought the same, Knew the dal rend (Took months to get it on my rogue) Warsong was obvious, along with the totem, The NPC i knew he had to be in eversong judging from what you can see in the background, The boots is what screwed me ><

Yes, it is impossible to compete with these wowhead monsters for regular folk...
The last time we gave out beta keys, we gave them out at random to pretty much anyone who could post in a thread. People complained that users were signing up for Wowhead, entering the contest, winning, and then disappearing never to contribute to the community again. It seemed like a good idea to use a contest idea that afforded a slight advantage to "Wowhead Monsters". :)
This isn't the last of the beta keys either folks, we'll be giving away plenty more...

Pft, monster? I'm just a guy who, well, bothered to read the rules before the contest. Unless being English counts as being a monster, and I'm unsure about that one. The response times today were far, far faster than mine yesterday.

I'm mostly in for the beta key too, but the pet would be a pretty nice bonus.
So yeah, since it's now 12 pm-something, does that mean that the next contest is in a bit under 24 hours, then? Gotta give it my all when I get the chance... And hopefully not get screwed over by people cheating this time. (Note: This time, not the first time.) :-/
I'm already going to be packing my Netherdrake for Northrend tomorrow too since I get one tomorrow... Would be nice taking a trip with it to Northrend along with little Tyrael. :-)
