The cold, clinging sweat from the previous "exercise" was soon replaced with its warm, humid likedness, and not very long thereafter Kim's twenty pushups were done and she jumped to her feet. While being far from the strongest, her light frame gave her an advantage when comparing strength to body mass and so the drill was not very taxing on her.
She looked around, and to her surprise she was among the first to rise from the more or less horizontal stance. "
Got to preserve my strength
," she thought warily but couldn't help to feel good about it. She stretched her arms and looked confusedly to the taskmaster, wondering whether she should start running right away or wait for the others.

Drops of sweat was formed and began to flow down the forehead. She was not strong, but her body was quite feminine and have a quite light frame that offered little resistance to the pushups. Still the exercise was a taxing one.
The elf looked over to Kim and saw her finished and thus she halted and sat down to recuperate for a short moment before runing in the gladiator arena for a hall.

As soon as Elthalis started running, the orc made a final pushup and started running as well, staying as close to the walls as his broad shoulders allowed.

Grintham struggled to finish his push ups, doing his best to stay optimistic. Strength was not his forte, even if being a dwarf gave him a natural edge, though the running he found much easier, enjoyable even when compared with the previous exercise.
Within moments he caught up with the others, agility and speed allowing him to compensate for what he lacked in height and raw strength.

Elysia pushed herself off the floor, being no worse for wear, she used to do push-ups in full plate armor and gear as part of her daily exercise, doing so in the light uniform issued by the Collegium was simple, she went over and jogged around the hall.

It didn't take long before others finished the exercise and started running, so Kim followed suit.

"Talking to one another is not prohibited; if you have a surplus of breath, go ahead and waste it," Stefan declared, standing in the center of the Hall, right beneath the Overseer, with his arms folded on his chest. "However, slacking off will not be tolerated. Give the exercise all you have, and the sooner you are done, the sooner you can have your breakfast."

Elthalis continiued to run counterclockwise in the Hall od two paths. The elf had already finished doing ten, laps and had only seven left to go. She found the runing a lot easier and refreshing even, as it did not drain far to much energy.
When Stefan barked, she did pick up a tiny bit speed and moved a tiny bit closer to the wall, and now she had done eleven laps.

Raegar had already done ten and a half laps, and after the taskmaster said his "motivational" words, the orc sped up.

"Caligula, present," Serenade said, marking the chart. "Right. So, we're going to be doing a series of workshops to discover what type of technology you prefer working with. Go at your own pace, and if you don't like something, move on to the next. I'll notify you a few minutes before we end."
"That it does," Josh acknowledged, approaching the table. "I have no idea where to start, though," he said, inspecting the machine from all sides.

Octavian started jogging, though after a time, he began to breathe heavily. It was regulated, but fairly heavy. An observant person would notice marks of intense strength and flexibility training, but little aerobic training.

After three quaters of a minute the acrobatic elf had finished runing the last remaning laps, finishing it whole with runing along the purple line to the center and Stefan in a decelerating pace.
"What awaits us next?" Elthalis said smugly to the taskmaster Meszaros.

"For you, Elthalis Azuresong, there is punishment," Stefan stated, with a casual gesture causing the ring on Elthalis's finger to cause her immense physical pain.
"Either you were not paying attention when I have explicitly stated students are to use 'sir' when addressing their betters, or you have just deliberately disobeyed a rule," the taskmaster explained calmly.
"When you are done writhing in pain, do forty more pushups and run five more circles. And I recommend you hurry, lest you wish to stay hungry until lunch."
Seeing the other students finish their fifteen laps, Stefan turned away from Elthalis.
"The rest of you are free to go to your sub-course's mess hall and eat your first meal of the day. You have twenty minutes to do so before your curators arrive, and these twenty minutes begin right now."

Raegar got a spike of anger at the unfair punishment, and, after controlling it, said and emotionless : "Sir" as he made a slight bow towards the taskmaster and left towards the Battle Mages' mess hall.

The fifteen laps had not been too taxing on Kim, but had required effort nonetheless. With sweat glistening on her forehead she jogged lightly towards the Spellbreaker's quarter, stretching muscles and tendons as she moved. There was not a moment to be lost.
The cocky elf might have gotten more than she deserved, she thought, but the Taskmaster had made the rules very clear from the beginning - not to mention his inclination towards corporal punishment.

Elthalis eyes widen at the word 'punishment'.
"No." Was all the elf could say before the ring began too transmit pain, pain like she had never felt before.
She fell to her knees screaming in agony, a horrid sound, far closer to the wail of a banshee than the musical voice of a high elf. Her left hand was over her right arm's wrist as if trying to strangle the effect of the ring, but all in vain. Tears began to fall down her pale cheeks.
Then the elf fell to the ground, writhing in torment bestowed upon her by the blue ring.
After the pain was gone. Elthalis with tears in her eyes and panting heavily, stared at the ring, almost as if the ring had paralyzed the Quel'dorei.
