Eryan was taken by surprise and nearly dropped his bag. He recovered quickly upon seeing the statue and exclaimed, excitedly, "Fascinating! Are you a golem?"

Siber eyed the alien, very deliberately looking at her muzzle and not a iota below. If he had harbored any wishful thoughts about her being not entirely dissimilar from decent humans, they were dwindling swiftly.
"Then it appears we will have to agree to disagree, Kutom'bai," he said simply.

Violet looked around in surprise before she let out a small gasp and reached into her bag. "Here," she said quietly, holding out the small glowing orb to the statue, her eyes huge.

Kutom'bai's eyes narrowed. "Yah dun' know me. Yah dun' know 'ow 'ard ah've adda fight tah get 'ere," the troll spat. "Ahm seekin' a betta life fo' mahself, tah show dah one's who ruined mah last one dat dey did'na kill mah spirit," Kutom'bai said, her jaw set as she stared at Octavian.
"Jus' cause ah fight fo' mahself dun' mean dat ahm weak, or selfish. Yah betta shut yah mout' instead'a runnin' it 'bout stuff yah dun' know," the troll finished before turning to face Elthalis and Kai'tai once more.

Kaestan bid Eldoroth farewell and headed up to the male dormitory. He was greeted at the entrance by a particularly large statue and one of the humans from the table. "Hello," he murmured, inclining his head at Eryan before turning his attention to the statue.
"A golem?" Kaestan said, his voice laced with curiosity as he exchanged a look with Eryan. He reached out a finger and tapped on the statue. "Curious, do you feel this?" he asked, tilting his head.

Kutom'bai caught the other troll's - or no, some sort of halfling, by the looks of it - gaze. She flashed a naughty grin and gave the 'a-okay' hand sign to the other woman. In reality Kutom'bai was fuming, seeing red at the corner of her vision as she focused on her food.

Kai'tai made a slight hand motion back and unfolded herself from the floor; the half-ling was tall and lanky, standing nearly 7 feet as she padded over to the bench and took a seat near the other troll woman, then reached for some food.

Kutom'bai raised her eyebrow out of sheer surprise as the other female rose and took a seat next to her. The troll thought she was too timid to even approach the group, let alone approach after the previous outburst.
Kutom'bai looked her over. She was tall - matching herself in height - but was built so differently. "'Ello," the troll said, biting into another leg. "Kutom'bai," she said, pointing to herself once she had finished chewing the meat.

Kutom'bai's expression changed once more to one of surprise at the ease and quickness of Kai'tai's answer. "Yah mudda 'as good taste," Kutom'bai said at last, breaking out into a grin and nudging the halfling on the shoulder.
"So wah, yah break stone's fo' a livin'? Dat's nah very excitin'" Kutom'bai said with a slight chuckle, glancing sideways at Kai'tai as she reached for more meat. "Or was eet yah mudda dat broke da stones?"

"She got the name from her father, who got his name from his." Kai'tai said, gathering some of the vegetables. "Family legend said the first Stonebreaker shattered a massive rock when he threw an ogre through it." She told the troll woman. "I've lived up to the name."

Kutom'bai grinned. "Ah look forward tah seein' it, Kai'tai," the troll said with a wink. "Ahm gunna earn mah name soon enough," Kutom'bai said, looking down at her plate. "Dey called me Scrappa or ^&*!fists back at 'ome," she said with a breathy laugh.
Truth of the matter was Kutom'bai had no one
to
give her a second name. But that wouldn't stop her from earning one.
