Siber felt a chill going down his spine when he looked up to see the staff and found one of the teachers - a bald pallid man with unsettling dark eyes - gazing at him scrutinizingly. Even though the youth realized soon enough that the pale man was not looking specifically at him - not at the moment, at least - but, rather, in the course's general direction, he could not quite shake off an unpleasant sensation of having the man's attention focused solely on him.
Siber tried to take pleasure in little things, starting with the fact that he had not actually shivered under the glare.

Eryan made a long face in a silent protest to being, well, silenced. Talking his mouth off was a natural defensive mechanism against stress, however meager, and being deprived of it grated at the boy.

Stefan eyed the prodigal lot critically, seeking any who showed the slightest promise. His unblinking glare lingered for a couple of seconds on a particularly massive orc; his thin lips quivered in disgust every so often as he scanned the crowd.

The gaze of Elthalis wandered around the decorations evrywhere and the elf wandered continiusly forwards and then she walked to a seat and sat down. But now the eyes was no longer admiering the view but the elven eyes now gaze towards the teachers infront.

Hazley walked and walked with hands filled with his two bags. When the gnome reached his end on the walk he was siting with his feet kicking in the air. One of the curses of being a gnome would be that he could hardly se over the tall one sitting infront of him.

Jinai looked about, appraising the architecture of the school from close up, as she headed towards the grassy section for the arcane section of the school. On the other hand, Tristan kept his head low and stared at Joaquin's feet, following the bard towards where they had to go.

Even though Tristan kept his head low, Joaquin had to raise his head to look the younger boy in the face.
"Cheer up, I see at least five people more nervous than you," he whispered and nudged the copying mage encouragingly, never minding the order to remain silent.

Kaestan found his seat, resting his bag with his few books on his lap with care. Many students were still chatting despite the harsh looking woman's orders, but the elf was content to remain quiet as he waited for the opening ceremonies to begin.
He glanced at Arthur quickly, smiling at the human before turning his attention to the podium and the various faculty members proceeding over the students. He drummed his fingers lightly on his satchel in anticipation, that and his wide, glowing eyes the only sign of his excitement.

Kutom'bai shrugged. "Kinda," she said, wrinkling her nose. "But ah been practicin' wif swords an' axes an' fists a lot longa. Ah prolly not as practiced as ah should be wif it, but ah 'ope mah swordsmanship makes up fo' it," the troll admitted.
"But," Kutom'bai added as they found their seats. "Ahm a fast learna." The troll grinned, elbowing Elthalis lightly. "What 'bout you?" she asked, not really caring for the woman's warning of silence.
She looked around, noting another troll female a few seats away, with tightly braided hair.

"Oof, watch it!" Meeba squeaked, a few of the topmost books on her massive pile toppling to the ground as a human bumped into her. The gnome scowled slightly, struggling to pick them up. An elf stopped in the hustle and bustle and picked them up, placing them on top with a smile. "Thanks!" Meeba beamed up at her, and the woman nodded before heading on her way.
"Come on," Meeba said to Amos, headed to the first seat she could find. "Aaah," she sighed, setting her books down and hopping up on the seat beside them. Amos hopped up beside her, tail ever twitching. Meeba adjusted her hat, fluffed out her dress, straightened her long, sweeping sleeves and crossed her feet at the ankles before folding her hands in her lap and looking around excitedly.

Elthalis chuckled. "Magic is the birthright of the elves, ofcourse i know the ways of the arcane, just watch." Said the elf,
then she pressed he hand together and small cracks of power emerged in the time/space, after that she moved her hands away and now there was a shimmering mana wyrm familiar hovering above her lap. "It's a familiar, a pet of sorts." She explained.

Kutom'bai's eyes widened as she stared at the magical creature. "Yeah, ah canna do dat," the troll said with a laugh, her mouth hanging slightly open as she stared at the wyrm. "Wha'... what does eet do?" she asked, her eyes on the creature as she extended a hand towards it.

Elthalis dried of some sweat from her forehead with her hand, somehow the summoning of the mana creature proved taxing om her stamina. "Mostly he just feeds on arcane energies, but he can hurl arcane blast if he wanted to." The elf elf explained.
Meanwhile the mana wyrm looked inquisidely on the alien hand, tilting his reptile head whilst doing so.

And that tiny thing happened to be the sun. "If only they'd do somethin' 'bout that," he grumbled, squinting at the giant burning orb in the sky.
After a few moments he gave a disgruntled shrug, noting the fact the sun was not going anywhere fast, and found a place for them, politely gestured for his two human companions to be seated.

Finding himself seated once more, Leo soon found his leg bouncing in excitement as well."Isn't this exciting!" he whispered tot eh stranger who ahd jsut sat next to him. "I can't wait to see this place. Shh-shh! " he abruptly shushed as a man wearing a pair of spectacles mounted the podium. "It's starting!"

Heraldus mounted the step to the podium, the floating construction bobbing fractionally at his weight. Adjusting his glasses he cast judging eyes across the assembled student body. In that moment, looking over the fresh young faces, he wondered just who would be the troublemakers. I have a fairly good idea, he thought sullenly.
He coughed, voice echoing out across the field. He spoke dryly, primly and in the straightforward manner of a lecturer. "Greetings, and welcome to the Collegium Arcanum. I am the deputy headmaster Heraldus Macropedius, and it is my duty to welcome you to this fine academy, and introduce the man who will be presiding over your tenure here. Please welcome Sir Gemma Ballibis."
As far as speeches go, there have been...worse (such as Hedrick Fizzwiddle, who had shouted at the students for three straight hours about his hatred of chicken soup followed by turning several prospective students into sheep). With a stiff bow, Heraldus left the podium and made way for the headmaster.

"Okay?" Mark whispered confused as he turned his attention to the stage and started to listen to the speech and out of the corner of his eye he noticed the man from earlier appear in a seat next to an elf woman though without the crack of thunder.

Richard was now wearing a long brown button up trench coat with brown pants and steel toed boots and his tool pouches along with black gloves to hide his mechanical arm.
"Nice lot of students."
He thought.
"Hope they're ready to learn. One mishap and they may end up drinking a poison."
Salena replied.
"They look smarter then that."
He thought.
"We'll see."
Was her only replied.

"Nah scared," Kutom'bai said quietly, a slight scowl on her face. She didn't like being accused of being a coward. She glanced up at the podium, where a man was speaking, before turning back to Elthalis.
"Jus' curious. Did'na know if eet was made wif jus' magic, or 'ad a physical body..." Kutom'bai murmured, reaching out and touching the creatures side lightly. The troll felt her fur prickle.

"Ofcourse he is physical, and nor is his conection to arcane any less real becouse of it." Elthalis explained with a smile. She then turned her gaze quickly to the man talking in the front and then the elven head turned back to the troll.
The mana wyrm brushed his head against the troll and gazed cheerfully on the troll.
