Hello? Anyone there?
This isn't Fonilithien, or whatever you Hunters call it. Paladins are busy people that do important stuff. We aren't lazy dudes that send animals to do our bidding so we can chat in OT threads. :D
Oh that's just low.
Also, I do stuff.

I did calc ages ago...
nice to see regulars are still regulars in here =)
I must confess that during my 4.2 hiatus I've met League of Legends and now am in a torrid affair with it, and it may end my WoW playing forever... unless something really big happens... Having my guild blow up doesn't help things either, nor does having so many patches and tweaks to relearn the game every couple months. Also discovered Gamebreakter.tv and now haunt its forums instead...

Have you been gone that long?
I've been gone like 4 months but I don't think there's any amount of time of me being gone that justifies making
squishy green
.
Makes me think of flue buggers..

What's precal? (different schooling system here (should be pretty easy)).

LoL is alright, but how fail other players are makes me cringe. You can be dominating your lane to have a fed Tryn walk in and 2 shot you.

Pre-Calculus. It does pretty much exactly what it says on the tin: it's the class you take before Calculus.

Oh? So Funden would be younger than me?
(in high school (Autralian style))

Yeah as I recall pre-cal is usually your last or second to last year of high school (before uni).

Well what about you? ;P
Have this chem assignment I need to do as well =.=

Psh, I don't do chem and math. I'm terrible at both of them.

What kind of subjects are over in the US?
All the cliche'd ones from movies?

Those are the basic, generic subjects, yes. English, Maths (although we call it Math), History, etc.
We also have what are called
AP
courses. These are courses that most people agree are equivalent to university level courses, and at uni you can get credited for one of their courses if you do well enough on your AP exam. You don't have to take any, I don't think schools are required to have any, and what a school offers varies a lot based on its staff.
For example, I took AP stats, AP music theory, and AP Micro and Macro economics. Hardly movie cliches.
There are also some schools in the U.S. that do
the IB program
which you're probably familiar with in Oz. Obviously that's a much different system. Although at my American, international, AP, and IB school in Britain, they sort of mixed them together. Fun fact: AP Macro and Micro took place in one class period because it was IB Econ year 1. We ended up spending like two months on Macro and then I had to take the AP test just from that.

Aye, I'm a junior in high school. Chemistry isn't too bad, but we haven't really gotten started yet.
Also, I've taken AP Geography, World Civ and US History. Those are the things I'm really good at, along with English.

English is the most idiotic course here to be honest. I spend a couple hours writing an essay on the day before it's due and get 80% + (decent for me).
Seems like a lot of people take AP courses. You guys just smart or is that normally what happens?

Keep in mind I went to high school in England and most of my friends are wealthy enough to go to expensive private boarding schools (which probably offer more expansive AP programs than inner city public schools), but most everyone I know took at least one or two AP courses in high school. Funden and my four APs (assuming he takes another one or two in senior year) might be a little on the high end, but not hugely unusual.

What exactly does AP stand for, and how do they differ from non-AP ones?
Edit: Oh bah, wiki link above. Never mind me.(##RESPBREAK##)8##DELIM##Squishalot##DELIM##

So I've thought about getting back into WoW again. :/
The problem is I pretty much can't get any new games, ever. Nvidia doesn't make any video card drivers except the theoretical, pre-manufacturer ones, which work on exactly zero computers. The newest drivers on Sony's site are the ones my computer shipped with, and you can't change the video card in most lap tops. So it seems like WoW on medium settings is about the best my computer can manage, if I want to play games other than Civ 5 and TF2.

Aww sowwy, I'll never forget our protribution squishy! Even if you're green, and even though I've stopped playing!
Ooh gratz :)
P.S. I don't mind green people, just that they remind me of watching "Mars attack" as a very young man. The horror!

I've been playing WoW on the lowest settings as long as I can remember. Back when I had 500MB of RAM, I'ld d/c upon entering Shattrah.
You get used to it.
