I have two characters:
tailor/herb & miner/JC
only the miner/JC has an epic mount. i'm thinking of dropping JC to make her a gatherer (miner/herb). my alt can be the crafter (tailor/JC).
i don't care that only either mines or herbs can be tracked at one time.
i don't look forward to gathering herbs with a slow mount on the tailor/herb. but i dont' want to fork over another 5k gold for something i essentially already have...
what would you do? buy another epic flying? or switch them to tailor/JC and miner/herb?
* I have a friend who makes pots for me. I will not become a skinner. It's not about making gold... it's about having the mats I need for the items I want.

I agree with icemage, somewhat.
If your JC is higher than say 250, keep it and level it to max. Otherwise go mining/skinning on your char with the epic flyer. I'm fairly sure after awhile you're going to get annoyed at only being able to track one thing.
Herbs are good money, but the ones that make the most money are so sparse and spread out that you'd be flying everywhere to get a few herbs.

i was thinking leveling my alt to 375 JC would be cheaper than buying an epic flying mount. then my main (who has epic flyer) could pick herbs.
cost to level JC to 375: ???? g
cost to buy 2nd epic flyer: 5000g
my main has 375 JC (draenei)... so the only expensive part was from about 290 - 300. i didn't keep track, though.
one of my concerns was that there might be some BoP JC recipe that I won't be able to get (because my alt won't see the same raids at my main). if it's just about gold, then i believe the cheapest route is to make my alt a JC.
