Botters used to just be annoying people who auto-followed you around, now every bg i do on my caster i pray to god the enemy team doesn't have any botters..
They have some sort of instant interrupt, you can't cast against em at all.. it's impossible 1 of em managed to interrupt my demonic circle summon.. i mean.. DAFUQ?
if they have their interrupts on cd, they will roll out a random cc they have..
these bots are being used in 2.2k rated arenas aswell the reason they're viable in such high ratings is they automaticly switch targets, instantly interrupt//cc enemys pop defensive cd's at perfect times.. they LITERALLY out play players.... its freaking stupid..

The best thing to do is screenshot proof and store it (just incase) then make a detailed report to Blizz.
I know this sounds like one of the hopeless things you do that the company never gets back to you, but if you provide a reasonable argument and enough proof they will actually look into it. I notices an army of bots ( like about 13) on my server (Bladefist) a few weeks back and it was pretty clear they were bots, same name, same class, same level, same area, no guild and they never left this area..ever.. in weeks on end (and were always logged in for hours at a time. So I decided to take a shot at least, if Blizz didnt do anything then the worst that happens is I went on thinking they were useless. But amazingly enough they actually got in touch with me within a day, and I haven't seen any in quite a while. (Not to say there aren't any but, still removed a decent chunk of the foolish ones)
Also, if the programmers are good enough, of course they can outcast and last minute interrupt you. The AI on guildwars 1 used to do that in combat, either wait till 1s, before cast finish just to make you waste your time, or insta-rupt your instant spells. It was pretty brutal. It'a pretty natural that bots if programmed right will out play humans though. Humans are more prone to errors, bots just follow the programming, so as long as its good their dominant. So.. once again the best tactic against this is you just have to try and get them caught.

Abuse that.
Cast stuff like the tauren racial or a heal when you don't need it.
Trick them, Bots are quick, but stupid as usual.

Interesting thing to note. I was doing a research paper last semester and I was perusing some scientific journal on computer science. I came across one in particular, wherein the authors proposed and designed an AI system specifically for botting games.
The system was so well-designed, that it was intentionally engineered to not play
too
good. In trials performed on a random selection of "gamers", they participants were put up against a blind selection of real players and botters in a competitive match, and asked afterhand to identify which players they thought were the bots. The bots scored "more human" than the real players by nearly a factor of double, while still achieving within the 80th percentile of top score over the whole session.
In other words, bots are getting smart. I wouldn't be surprised if a few 2200+ teams out there had at least one bot on them -- and nobody they faced realized it.

Bots are out of hand in random bgs. I just cancelled my WoW sub for the first time ever because I'm sick of getting dumped in bgs alongside several bots. The other day there were 3 of us in Temple who weren't bots, the other 17 were. All 10 Horde just stood in the starting area milling around, and the 3 of us Alliance went and picked up orbs. The other 7 Alliance just followed us around, did what we did, mounted, dismounted, etc. It's beyond a joke now.
I don't have the schedule that allows me to join a RBG team, though as the OP alludes to I suspect bots even exist here.
Part of the game is broken and there's no indication that they're doing anything about it. Even the buddy forums are full of threads of "banned today, 3rd ban, one call and reactivated" type threads.
Feck em.

If you are getting out played by a bot you are seriously bad, just because it can out play bad players who are out of training or panick, the bots are no where near being able to out play any decent players.
Show me a vide of a bot outplaying a team above 2200, don't come with a comp thats unviable vs. a bot setup with extreme viability. Proof your theory, show a 3v3 with same setup with 2200 rating players vs. bot, trust me they cant really do ^&*!.

THANK YOU very much for this information. . . but could you please be a little more specific and cite sources? I believe you, but I am very interested in this topic. I have seen stacks of 7 horde shammies in a late night BG doing the same BG over and over again working in concert with EXTREMELY similar names, moving in groups, geared in similar ways and acting in similar ways, but overall, murdering the late night alliance crowd and anchoring the horde BG band.
I have seen similar groups, but usually on the horde side and almost always in PVP BG's. I cannot remember seeing a set on the alliance side. Of course, if I did see more ally cheaters, maybe I'd win more BG's?
Players that do this ought to get locked out, at least temporarily, if not totally banned. The ones who duplicate gear or hack code should never be allowed to come back.

That sounds crazy! My server is not THAT bad! REPORT, REPORT, REPORT every single time you see them. Stand still and YELL out in open chat in the BG calling names of toons out as bots . . . see if any of them chat/whisper or yell back . . . bots don't (at least not so far).
Immediately report the bots to Blizz as cheaters and report them as AWOL if they have nil activity . . . easy to do if they are just following you and you retreated to the roof. :)
Sometimes a REAL person logs into a BG, then goes AFK . . . I accidentally did that once when my wife needed me really badly. I KNEW a person I saw AFK in a field once, as a REAL person. I have heard a jerk announce in trade that he was going to log into a BG then go get some beer and watch the BG and a movie at the same time. Not all AFKs are bots, BUT they should be removed.
