BOOMkin problems

I read a post earlier in regards to Balanced druids running out of mana in the longer Naxx fights. With that in mind I've been using more SF than wrath for better mana efficiency. With my mana problems ive been stay away from haste items....for obvious reasons. > Haste = OOM faster. Instead im looking for items with crit.
Of course today I read that crit is that last thing I should be stacking unless im in my current situation. (Bad Mana regen) Now I hate using innverate on me, because if a healer dies and gets my b-rez or goes OOM I think its more important they get the mana regen than !. My question is, are my stats not as balanced as I was lead to believe and what stats should I lose and gain. Is my spirit that bad and are there Moonkins out there that have no mana issues what so ever?
Here is my armory link:

Ideally you will want to be OOM on the last spell that you cast that will kill the boss... This includes being able to innervate yourself or others, as well as a battle res in there as well. You should go play with the Heroic training dummy to get an idea about the mana efficiency and dps of all the rotations available to you. Once you get that you want to be able to change rotations mid fight depending on mana needs while still trying to keep to your highest feasible dps. This takes a bit of time to pin down and you'll mostly be doing it by 'feel' for the first few times you encounter a new boss or if you change gearing or spec significantly. You have Dreamstate, Intensity, and Omen of Clarity to help with mana problems. Omen of clarity is probably your best mana pool lengthening talent available to us followed by a choice between Intensity(for high spirit based folks) and Dreamstate(for high int folks, do the math 600 spirit and 1k int means you want Intensity more). You should try to never have to spec into more then 2 of these talents or you should be worried about mana regen. Crit will always help your dps out as well as mana regen while haste will help dps and hinder mana regen. Haste is not bad but make sure your gearing can handle it.

If you look I accually only have 2 points in Intensity and 1 point in OoC. And while my spirit is is low pre buffs it comes out ot around 450+ when I'm raid buffed. I usually run with a ret pally and have kings/wisdom on me so I can afford to spec so few points into those. I even Wrath spam at times because I know my mana can handle it...
It comes down to finding the best balance(yay pun) you can between dps/utility/mana.

I'm surprised that you'd run OOM with the gear you have honestly, mana problems are something for moonkins in quest/blues or still wearing lvl 70 epic, not for mostly epicced Nax moonkins.
One of the reasons would probably be the order in which you took your regen talents : Moonglow seems quite good on the paper but doesn't scale and gets less efficient than others. You did take OoC which is our best regen talent, after that you should fill up Intensity (and then see between Dreamstate and Moonglow what's the best choice if you still have mana problems). In your case, i'd remove 2 points from Moonglow to put them in Intensity, it should help you a lot.
More generally on your talent build :
- iFF : take it for the hit debuff if you don't have a shadow priest, else let the sp handle that debuff. You might still want to take the talent when having a shadow priest and ferals to put down faerie fire, so that the talent becomes a 3% crit increase to all your spells, depending on what crit will do for your rotation. Generally people let it be when they have an sp though.
- you didn't take Wrath of Cenarius, that's not a good idea as it's a garanteed and scaling increase to our best spells.
- you took Owlkin Frenzy and Nature's Focus, are those for raiding, ie do you really get that much incoming damage to make them valuable enough (i don't know the answer, all 25 man instances are horribly lagging on my realm so we didn't do much progression there yet :/).
@lauruit : your build is a classical "starter moonkin" build (i have a very similar one currently) with most mana regen talents while waiting for gear. However you are missing out on Nature's Splendor which is a big dps increase as it allows you to spend more time casting direct damage spells while your dots continue to tick.

I have noticed my Boomkin mana problems becoming much less severe with a larger mana pool. Getting close to 20k mana, it has become something I don't have to worry about most of the time, even not using mana pots or innervates on most Naxx bosses. Your mana pool is pretty decent sized, so I am suprised you are having mana issues.
How many sources of Replenishment do you have in your raids? In 25 mans, I find that 2 means I do have to drink a mana pot, and maybe innervate on some boss fights, but not always. Having 3 Replenishments usually means no potting or innervating.

Ok, so what I'm gathering is, it's my spec. I really don't need imp. MF, but it's nice for Pvp. Owlkin frenzy should not be going off, but you'd surprised how often it does, especially when learning encounters. Those simple changes should be a huge help.
I still think my hit rating is too high at 287, but im slowly fixing that from 320. Thank you for the input.
