As much as it hurts to say, everything stated is correct. My druid is feral and yes I have half Vengeful gear, some Merciless and a few pieces of S1. Am I useless in Arenas? Well, not completely, so long as I stay in feral form...coming out to heal when feral specc'd is damn near useless unless you have a 2-1 advantage and want to rub some salt in the wound of your opponents.

(Let me address the heal statement....coming out of feral to heal in a 2-man or 3-man is difficult because you are there to DPS....so the 3-5 seconds you are in caster form takes away from your damage output and to be honest, your heal amounts are not sufficient to counter the damage coming at your teammates.)

Now, can I tank? You bet your ass! All of Kara, Gruul and Mag, OT'ing ZA and pretty much anything else.....but I don't give a crap about PvE, I just want feral druids to be a viable spec for arenas....QQ ;)

In BG's, being feral is a blast because of the sick burst damage you are capable of unloading on unsuspecting targets. Nothing funnier than getting a few ticks on a healer then stunning them right before a big heal gets away.

Tauren have a fantastic move of stunning (S3 gloves are lovely for this as well) then War Stomping for a few more seconds of stun, then dropping back into feral for an immediate burst of energy for mangles...all this in a few seconds.

If you add Leatherworking to the mix, Drums of Fear are awesome in a WSG or to clear the flag in AB for those critical seconds for back up to arrive.

Having ranted, just like Zuelakan said, play the game for fun with some buddies and is doesn't matter what your spec is, so long as you are having fun. Besides, no matter the spec and your skill....your buddies will ALWAYS bust yer balls in jest....and yes, S3 with S2 mixed looks hella cool on Taurens.
