Sadly the creators of the show stated that no more avatar stuff is gonna happen. They're moving on to newer projects, so this was truly and really the finale of the franchise.
Well, I doubt a revamp is going to happen
I meant that on the DVD release they could extend that scene with a minute or two of extra animation, actually taking the extra step.
if george lucas could re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-release star wars a billion times and modify 3 seconds of footage every 6 months, surely they can too, at least just once.
Not to sound like a perv or anything, but I seriously wanted to see them kiss, that scene was perfect, it was an almost mirror recreation of the scene between Aang and Katara at the end of TLA.

Though I too would like to see the kiss as they fade in the light with Iroh saying "Hi, would you like some tea" When they arive on the other side.

There's this prevalent train of thought around the internet that wanting to see 2 girls making out is........ shall we say unbecoming...... to use kinder terms.
In my particular case, I specifically wanted to see it because they truly, really make a lovely and adorable couple. Their chemistry together was amazing.

hehe maybe, at the very least they would not be in denial about it. A lot of fans are divisive over whether or not they're relationship is still platonic or if it actually evolved into something else. There'd be zero arguments if it was 2 guys (Or a guy and a girl)

So many writers in their shoes would had taken the lazy approach, and just go "its up to each fan's interpretation". I'm so glad they chose to make their stance clear. And so quickly too,

I'm still so very sad that the show is over, I want more, D=
I sincerely wish we could get another avatar experience, but this time in videogame form. I can just imagine it, a videogame "Bioware Style" which means, plenty of combat, but also just as much if not more so dialog as well, with choices and everything. With us being able to choose the gender and nationality of our avatar, based maybe hundreds or thousands of years into the past, so we could see some historical event, like the birth of the white lotus.
With vast open worlds like on Skyrim, being able to visit each nation on a different game, each one at least 20 to 40 hours long.
*sighs*
I'd love to see a game like that.
