If you use X-Perl unit frames, you can configure it to make out-of-range players semi-transparent. I find that pretty much essential to healing in BGs, for sure.

HealBot i wouldnt recommend nor would i recommend xperl.
Healbot is a pain in the ass to set up healing and its auto changing of spells mid cast is a freakn &^%%#.

Not to mention both are cpu/mem hungry wenchs

My recommendation for those that can code lua is :
clique+oUF_kosken+oUF_indicators+oUF_incomingHeals

My recommendation for those that cant :
grid + clique

grid is actually very easy to setup now and only provides information that concerns you.

That being said, i am trying out pitbull raid frames + clique.

I'm a huge fan of healbot and really dont think i'd bother to try anything else for bg's. It can become very transparent, only highlighting those players both in range and needing a heal, and showing you if another healer is already casting one on them. How you can call healbot hard to setup, then mention pitbull is seriously beyond me :?

Grid+Clique I've heard wonderful things of, may be superior to healbot (dont know but definitely have heard more than enough good pr to say its a good setup)

If you have any doubts about setting something up and configuring it I would NOT suggest pitbull, defo not a 'bad' addon but takes ALOT more to setup how you want than something like healbot.
Healbot set your spells, turn off smartcast, setup colors/amount of info you want, transparency as you want, size as you want(if you want to change it), super easy menu access, you're good to go.
For that matter you can set ANY spell/use item to healbot, I even use it one my non healing classes for a huge number of things as it lets me basically free nearly a bars worth of spells into a healbot frame thats made quite small :)
