#showtooltip Metamorphosis
/use 13 this is the top trinket
/use 14 this is the bottom trinket
/cast demon soul
/cast immolation aura personally I add this here so I can double press for IA
/cast Metamorphosis
/run UIErrorsFrame:Clear() this clears the red error text that will happen every time you try to use a trinket that's on cooldown(You can select the whole macro and the grey text will be ignored)(##RESPBREAK##)8##DELIM##asakawa##DELIM##

I guess i'll just have to ask this here but at what level do Locks really start to get better in PVP? My little alt at 43 right now can't put up much of a fight versus anything, only idiots. Fear is so useless when being focused, so that doesn't help at all...

at level 43, without resilience, facing heavy hitting (and quite likely unbalanced at low levels) warriors and melee you might as well just bend over. Or run with a pocket healer (if they have time to heal you between the two chops of an axe). Or keep yourself away, attack only in groups, engage only other magic users and healers etc etc. You don't even have portal so it's a pretty lost cause in close encounters. Try to get out of battle and soul harvest. Don't forget about death coil, the lifesaver above all.

Howdy
<insert typical starter> I dont know how much this has been asked but... </insert typical starter>
Ive been looking at our glyphing options today and i am wondering why we are using
Glyph of Imp
as opposed to
Glyph of Incinerate
in our one of our prime slots.
Using my lock as a basis my Incinerate does 7.7k Damage (with Imo ofc) with a 2 sec cast time.
My imp's firebolt does 2.1k Damaage with a 1.5 sec cast time.
In the space i cast Incinerate 3 times (roughly 6 seconds), my imp will cast 4 firebolts. Calculate this up and thats 23.1k from incinerate and 8.4k from Firebolt. Add 5% to Inc and its roughly 24.2k. Add 20% to Firebolt and its roughly 10.1k.
Much of this was rounding up but as you can see it is still a large difference, surely making the Incinerate glyph more effective?
This wasnt really a simple question, sorry :)
Please &*!@# slap me for being an idiot if im forgetting something...

What pet would be best to level with, as Affliction?
I want as much damage as possible, CC or Tanking doesn't matter.
Felhunter

My feeling is that Affliction doesn't have anything else to line it up with so it's best to bind it to Haunt and get it used as often as possible.
Demo has lots of cooldowns that are each stronger when put together. As Affliction it would be worth saving Demon Soul if you know Hero/Lust is very close but otherwise my advice would be to use it on CD.

Actually I prefer to bind it to my three dots myself. To avoid a situation where you just refreshed all your dots and then cast a haunt and then several shadow bolts, thereby losing much of its effect.

Drain Life was nerfed too much to be worth using for PvE, yes.
Since DL benefits from Mastery there is a theoretical point where DL would become the best option again but this is unlikely to be at all reachable this expansion.

Good Day..
I have not played my Warlock since v3.x.. I decided to finish leveling her to lvl 85. I dont recall my Felguard being so FRAGILE! I have to heal him during every battle with more than one foe. I recall sending him to at least 3 mobs them doing AoE. I can no longer do that with it.
I am pretty much following Asakawa's leveling build. I have experimented with the talents, but have not been too successful. I need to reset yet again. I know I need to get rid of Imp. Life Tap and Master Summoner. This is what I have:
http://us.battle.net/wow/en/character/winterhoof/Eighthvirtue/talent/primary
Do I need to go to the Affliction tree and grab: Doom & Gloom, Imp. Corruption, Soul Siphon > Siphon Life? Would that help?
I also find my Drain Life is not as effective. I see why from Asakawa's post above. That being the case, I am having much more frequent deaths.. Felguard dies, I do DL, I die. I had enjoyed her so much before this.. Can someone please help me?
Much Thanks & Peace.. Lynlee
PS: If I messed up by posting here, please let me know, will post elsewhere. I have done extensive reading to solve this issue.

My Warlock guide is really an endgame PvE guide and doesn't really touch on levelling.
while the Felhunter is the best pet for endgame raid bosses, his damage is highly dependent on you having a full set of DoTs on your target. For levelling this can often be quite impractical so even though the Fel
guard
's damage is lower on paper I would strongly suggest you use that for levelling.
At 83 demo I would suggest something like
this
. The destro talents really make things feel better (Bane in particular making the cast times a bit more bearable).
The relatively recent nerf to Drain Life isn't the reason you're struggling. With 4.0 DL was changed so that its healing is not based on its damage any more. It's a simple percentage of your health per tick. This works out to be a pretty big reduction in the healing it does overall and makes the old "drain tanking" idea no longer viable.
Use a Felguard and pull a group of mobs every 45 seconds to match your pet's Felstorm ability (which is fantastically powerful on groups). When Felstorm is on cooldown just pull single mobs at a time and kill them fast. when felstorm has 10 seconds left start pulling another group and so on.
Good luck!
