I never really saw the purpose for a filter like this--I assumed either you cared about the armor or you only cared about the stats. I figured that if you were an enhancement shaman only concerned with items that increased attack power and agility (or the like) that you would just make a filter like
this
. That one will show blue mail and leather boots that have both attack power and agility on them. I admit that the filter won't filter out cloth results--but if you're wearing leather, you're probably only concerned about the offensive stats, and would be willing to wear cloth too (if there IS any cloth with +agility and +AP.)
Am I wrong on this? If there really is a need for this filter I'm pretty sure we can add it, but it seems superfluous to me, and the filter system as it is is pretty crowded.

I was thinking about this as well. Recently I've been gathering some NR/FR gear for Hydross and I wanted to see all Cloth OR Leather with NR OR FR > 0. Obviously I can get along by just doing NR and then FR, but there's no way to search Armor for Cloth OR Leather.
Yeah yeah, I can just do 4 searches. But meh to that.
And I know, you're revamping the filters. How's that coming? Are you guys having to revise some database design choices to accommodate greater filtering flexibility?

We actually have a plan in place for a simple system that lets you do more complicated boolean searches--that's coming with the filter revamp. It'll be coming as soon as we get it done--we're a little swamped right now under our existing features, and we're trying to offload some of the work so we can go back to doing what we do best. :)

So, does that include a filter for Type (Proficiency?) when searching from the Armor root? :)

Did anything come of this? complex filters? I keep trying !Mail and !Leather or... !"Mail Armor" & !"Leather Armor" but nothing seems to be working
