hi, i heard tha the arena system with cataclysm is different...
wotlk --> you join arena and combat vs a group choosen as the same item level of the worst player of your group --> full wrathful + full green vs full green + full green = succesfully boosted, you win all arenas
what is changed now? i think, if u are full vicious and your arena mate full green, u will only find in arena player full vicious or near this.... is it true? because a lot of people told me i can't boost now with cataclysm...

so, is it still possibile to boost? or, if i join with a full-green geared player, i'll find players who have got full vicious gear because of me?
waiting for answers from other people too, cause i just want to be sure

It is possible to boost. When you join your terribly geared friends team your team mmr will be higher thanks to you and will be forced to fight reasonably geared people at that rating. Your best bet is to join and just leave arena a bunch of teams to lower the team mmr until it is sufficiently low then steamroll baddies and climb as high as you can.

On a related note, did anyone else get rolled over by hardcore arena teams last night?
Me and my 2s partner normally do okay against our own kind, but last night we lost a string of games to teams who jumped up about 90pts in their rating after the win, which suggests to me that they were new teams, formed by v. good players moving up the ratings.
People rolling new teams ahead of the patch maybe?
